we went up to Epcot for the day yesterday....we have a week's worth of FP's selected for our trip in March. On the way up, I tried making FP's via the app and it said we were at our limit. ??

Anyway, went to guest services to buy a TIW card and asked about it and the CM told me it was glitchy that day. Wondered if anyone else ran into this?

I don't understand the question. Were you attempting to schedule additional FPs (after your first 3 each day) via the app (which is not possible)?

You have AP's.
You can only book SEVEN days of advanced FP+, max, at a time (unless you are
booking during an extended WDW Resort stay.)

our fp's for our upcoming vacation are 3/7-3/14, we took a day trip up yesterday and were trying to make FP's for yesterday.

Did you try cancelling one of your other 7 days worth first?

Yeah...if you have APs then 7 days is the max at any one time. See the green link in my signature for answers to this and other FP FAQs.

no way jose!! I got all the ones my kids wanted and that would not become available again - ana/elsa 7dmt, ect....

Assuming that you have already only booked 7 days of FP+ for your future trip...
You would have only had to cancel ANY ONE of your other FP+ days in order to make FP+ yesterday.
(Just pick the day with the least-popular FP+ reservations.)
Then, at the end of yesterday, you could have scheduled that future day again.

wow so locals who do take week long vacations but also make day trips are kind of screwed then.

They are trying to prevent hording of FP's. For example, you are not sure what day in March you will be going so you book A&E for every day in March. With MYW, you are limited by the number of days tickets. With AP's, it would be unlimited.

It's a case of in order to prevent abuse of the system, others have to pay the price. Unfortunate, but necessary.

Last summer even with an extended stay I had a 10 day max on my AP's. Is that still effect?

That makes sense they have limits on them. Glad to see that.

There needs to be some limit for someone booking fast passes for every day in the next 30 days .. just "in case" I want to make a trip there.

That also brings up a question I had.. what happens with fast passes that aren't used? With my no-expiration tickets I booked some fast passes for the end of this month. We changed our plans and decided not to go. I, of course, canceled the fast passes. But what about people who don't? How many fast pass slots get "wasted" with people trying to reserve them 30-60 days in advance .. but never use them (trip gets cancelled, they don't go to that park on that day, they just never made it to that ride by their fastpass time) ...

With an annual pass, you're limited to the number of nights on your reservation, or 7 days; whichever is greater. If you had a 10 day reservation, you'd have 10 days of fastpasses available.

While I wish there was a way to stop or prevent abuse without penalizing someone, there usually isn't. It's the beef I have with anyone who chooses to do things just because they can.

I would think in order for Disney to do something about wasted FP's- those who schedule, but then don't use them for whatever reason- it would have to be significant enough number to make it worth the cure. Just guessing, but I bet they've come up with a number to use for waste when they figure out how many fp+'s to allot each day. Mathematics way beyond anything I care to know.

I do wish they'd allow AP holders to have 10 days instead of 7 though.

I'm going to upgrade DD and Mine to APs after we get there (Bridging or no). I would have just purchased APs now so that I'd be done with it, but I want to be able to make all 10 days of FPs. So I'm going to make them with the 10 day and then upgrade after we go to our first park. I hope I don't lose days 8-10 when I upgrade our tix.

Hey maybe Disney can implement the same policy they have for ADR's! Charge each FP no show $10. It's a great way to ensure guest compliance!
