FastPass+ parades and fireworks

I've planned our entire 16-day stay. Every single day, the first thing I checked was for FastPass+ availability for parades or fireworks. They were never on the list. It wasn't as if they were on the list and dimmed out as unavailable, they were never on the list. Am I doing something wrong? Our trip is 38 days away, do they only show up at a certain number of days before the date of the event?

I just read on another thread that they open up at a later date than regular FP+. Apparently right now they can only be booked through mid April.

They appear about 1-15 days before the actual date.
