Since the next generation stuff isn't coming to Disneyland, the FP stuff has never been for DLR, as skiing keeps saying. The only rumors about DLR have been people asking about it (and being told no, it's not for DLR).
Because we all know that calling Disney 3 different times results in 3 different answers!
There's no "official answer" line to WDW or DL as far as I've ever found - just the opinion of the CM you reach, who may actually be nowhere near the park and far less knowledgeable than these forums!
Or you could get a CM at Disneyland who doesn't believe in the enforcement and lets you use it regardless. Or you could get a CM who believes what's good for WDW is good for DLR and enforces it on his/her own.
The local LA station KTLA ch. 5 morning news just ran a story saying that Disneyland WILL start enforcing the Fastpass return time. They didn't give a start date. I am bummed, but will still use Fastpass whenever I can.

I watched the links new story. The new persons said "there's a crack down on people abusing the system". By Disneyland not enforcing the "Fast Pass" time window, makes guests the bad guys. That is according to the news person.
When I experienced FP's the first time, the cast member told me we were to return any time after the beginning time printed on the FP.
As long as I know the rules, NO PROBLEM. I'll use FP's as they are intended to be used.
Local news in Sacramento just reported that Disneyland is enforcing the end times. I wonder if they even try to verify the info or just report what LA reported?????
