Fastpass line being managed differently?

Can we please ignore the deliberate thread-jacking and get back to the OP?

I don't see it as thread-jacking. I see it as him defending himself and explaining his actions. If people want to quit talking about it, I'm betting he'd be willing to not participate in the thread. Just a wild guess tho.

As far as pictures of other people go, it's sort of inevitable that it happens. I would love it if nobody was ever in my photos. People wait around hours after the parks close to get those. As far as the user here that requested the photos of his family be removed, I did it immediately after the request. I am under absolutely no legal obligation to, but I can respect someone's desire to not have their picture up on some guy's website..

And then promptly banned me from your site after I made my request. Classy. Very classy.

Fair Use is much more complicated than that but we don't need to get into that here.

I don't think it's a big deal to ask someone to take a picture down, totally understandable. Personally, I thought the way you said it was rude, specifically jumping right to "stealing".

I think PMing the person or writing something simple in the thread asking the person to take it down would have sufficed. JMO.

This.
I'm willing to bet the PP who posted the picture (clearly a fan of easyWDW) thought it was the appropriate amount of credit and never considered there was a more appropriate way to give that credit.
:( The whole situation is too bad. :(

I'm a criminal, call the police. Force me to eat asparagus.

I'm still going to read your blog whether you want me to or not because it's funny.

What kind of monster doesn't eat asparagus... If I'd known that up front I'd be calling you things worse than a thief! :smooth:

I agree. It never occurred to me that it was stealing or inappropriate. Having Josh's explanation makes a little more sense, but not everyone immediately understands the distinctions between linking to a url here, uploading a photo from a url to here, and uploading a photo to another hosting site and then displaying it here (which is what I *think* was done in this case?). I still don't know which, if any of those, are "ok". (Scratch that - the last one is definitely not ok.)

The "reaction" to the photo caught me off guard as well. It may not have been "in your face" rude, but it was terse and came off as perturbed (which I guess he was). I am not that familiar with the players but I thought lugnut's mistake (as it has now been pointed out) was innocent, and that's why the response came off as heavy-handed.

I don't get the vitriol for the Dis. I don't see that anybody did anything THAT wrong. As far as I know, no one's hurt and there's no money missing from anyone's bank account. :confused3

I adore easywdw.com and probably recommend it here several times a week. This exchange surprised me.

I hope this thread does not get shut down. I would like to hear relevant comments regarding Fast Pass lines.
My own two cents (which is worth next to nothing I am sure) is that a person who has a business that is relevant to both Disney and the Internet information of Disney should not be engaging users in such a silly and unprofessionally confrontational manner. A quick check of previous posts bears out the fact that this is not a 'one off'. Quite frankly, I am shocked at the tone and manner in which this person is conducting himself. Cant be good for business in the long run - or maybe it will have no effect, but I must say, it really turns me off. Will I not use the site? No. But it changes the way I feel about the site, and possibly will effect on when and how I personally 'promote it' to my friends ( a small number of people to be sure - but these things have an exponential way of growing Sir......)

Same here. My 6th post on these forums was an endorsement of his site. And then he bans me because I asked him to remove pictures of my family.

Wow.

But honestly, didn't you ask him to remove them out of spite? Because you were irked that he did what he did? Or did you just discover today that those pics existed? If you did it out of spite, then I don't blame him. Why let you access all his information that he collects when obviously you want to cause him to go thru his pics and remove you?
