We want to go to the Star Wars parade on Sunday 5/22 (just found out about the star wars parade), but we have CRT at 805 am that morning. So if we leave MK at 10 am, we should hopefully get to MGM on time for the parade? What's faster, going to TTC by boat, then bus to MGM? Or monorail to CR, bus to MGM? or some other way???

Thanks!

Isn't there a direct bus from MK to MGM like at all the other parks? Tyler can you answer this one?

We are going to be at Disney May 19-24. My son is also a star wars fan! Can you tell me what time the parade is and is it only Sunday? Thanks!

The busses to/from other parks drop off/pick up at the TTC, not MK (like the resort busses).

I would actually still go to the TTC and take a bus from there. The problem with the Contemporary is that it will be the first stop on the Contemporary / Poly / Grand Floridian loop.
Now, on the reverse, from MGM to MK, I take the bus to the Contemporary and walk to the MK.

You may want to also consider a bus to BW and then walk to MGM. We do that walk all the time, and it is not that bad.

Always amazed on the DIS sites how many true-walkers post. We did the walk from BW to MGM -- once. Never again. After you've walked the required 10 miles in-the-Parks, that extra long-distance hike from BW to MGM is nuts.

I have to diagree with you (we're in our 50's and are not mobility impaired) - we almost always walk between MGM and BWV. It's much faster than waiting for the boat. The walk is only 15 minutes at an average pace. We only boat if we are traveling with strollers or young children.

And FWIW, when I am tired, I find it a lot harder on my feet to just stand and wait than it is to keep walking.

Best wishes -

There are no direct busses from one park directly to another. Your best choices are the ones that have been given. Allow at least 30 to 60 minutes to acomplish your commute...sounds like driving to work on the freeway doesn't it?

If time is a consideration your best bet would be to have a car and drive yourself between parks..if that is an option.

Sounds like you got this information from someone who doesn't wear purple pants :)

There most certainly is transportation between parks. How else would Disney sell park hopping tickets if you couldn't park hop.

Except between Epcot and MK (which has the monorail), there are individual, direct busses from one park to any other park. (Yes there is even a bus between Epcot and MGM, not just the boat)

For MK, the busses drop off/pick up at the TTC (i.e. MK parking lot)

betterlatethannever I think the key word that you missed was DIRECT...

There is certainly transportation between the parks but this is usually acomplished by taking a bus, boat, or monorail somewhere else first (i.e., bus, boat or monorail from MK to TTC or bus to a resort and then to a park or Monorail to TTC and transfering to another Monorail to EPCOT, etc.) and then to the other park.

Bob,

You stated "There are no direct busses from one park directly to another". Sure there are. Maybe not at all parks, but the park-to-park bus routes DO exist.

There are no direct buses between the parks and DTD. There are direct buses that go from park to park. The direct bus to the MK drops you off at the TTC, same location as used by cars and off site buses.

Yes. There are DIRECT busses, non stop from park to park. If you are AK and go to the bus depot, go to the lane for MGM, the bus comes, you get on, and the NEXT stop is MGM. AND THIS APPLIES TO EVERY PARK except MK where you need to go to the TTC first to get to another park.

No. The TTC is on the other side of the lake. You would need to take a boat or monorail to MK

The resort busses go straight to the MK. So from where the resort busses drop you off, you could walk to the MK.
