How do I go about making FP+ reservations for the entire stay on the 60th day from my first check in when I have multiple DVC reservations for 10 consecutive days. MS told me Unlike ADR's, I could make FP+ reservations for my entire stay based on the first check in date.

I have talked to the MDE help desk and they dispute this fact stating each reservation stands on its own and only FP+ reservations can be made at one time for one reservation.

Who is correct ?

I am needing advise on how do I go about making FP+ reservations for the entire trip on a split stay 60 days from the initial check in date?

Sadly, it is never a good plan to "call Disney" for operational information.
This case is no exception.

I have a split stay, our tickets are all on our first reservation so I don't know if that made a difference or not, but I was able to book for our entire trip.

We are saying that what you did IS the normal correct situation.
It is the MDE CM on the phone who is incorrect.

I think the split stay thread could be updated to clarify a bit more (though it is quite useful as is - I am not sure how to notify someone w/more details). I assume the back-to-back split stay works as stated, but a split stay with a gap night in between does not. In that case, it seems it works as 2 separate stays. That is, you can make reservations for the period of the first stay starting 60 days before the first stay, but that reservation window goes only through the last day of the first stay. Then, 60 days before the second stay begins, you'll get access to those dates.

To be clear, I've just now experienced this. We have 5 nights, then a gap while we go on a Dream cruise, then 2 more nights. The tickets are linked and everything. We could make the first set of reservations 60 days before the first stay, but only through the day we checked out from the first stay. The second set of dates only opened up once we hit 60 days before the second checkin date (tonight - more than a week later than the first one). I don't know if it matters, but we booked the cruise and the WDW stays separately.

(Note: I realize this does not apply to the OP, since those are consecutive days, but figured this would be useful for others.)

Onsite stays that are not consecutive are not "Split Stays." Resort > Cruise > Resort is not an onsite Split Stay and the resort segments are two separate stays.

Regular FP booking windows apply to separate stays.

So I understand that you are not suppose to be able to to schedule your fastpass+ for a split stay where your tickets are attached to the 2nd reservation.

I have a free dining reservation from 11/15-11/20 and have a room only reservation from 11/13-11/15 with a 8 day ticket. Since the requirement for free dining is to purchase the ticket as part of the package, I could not put the tickets on the first reservation. What is interesting is that when you go to the screen to schedule fastpass+, it says that I can begin fastpass+ selection on 9/14 which is 60 days from 11/13 (my first reservation without the tickets). Could that be possible, or is the system wrong?

The system is correct. When your window opens, you'll find you can only book FPs for park days during Stay #2.

The window opens 60 days from Stay #1 and benefits those who have separately linked tickets - not a package.

Thanks for the quick response. So I think I understand. So I will be able to make FP selections for the second stay at the beginning of the 1st reservation window, but not the 1st reservation dates itself until I activate the tickets upon check in.

That's correct. Your "package" gives you the ability to actually book FPs beginning with the check-in date of Stay #2.

You just get a slight head start on booking based on Stay #1's booking window.
