Fast Pass+ question for off-site guests

It's my understanding that offsite guests can now book fast pass+ reservations at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom because the legacy fast pass machines are no longer in use. When I was in Disney in December, I went to Animal Kingdom on the first day that this was offered. I received a paper form at the parking lot gate. Is this paper form still used today? Is this how it works at the Magic Kingdom as well?

I'm helping friends going to Disney next week (staying offsite) and I wanted to be up to date on how fast pass+ works for offsite guests.

Thanks!

Photos of the paper form/checklist with Fp+ kiosk locations listed were posted on the boards on the 14th. Also, let your friends know to also look for CMs with iPads as they are said to be found throughout the two parks and can schedule Fp+ for guests.

I am wondering if you can book your 3 Fastpass+ at a kiosk at any park? For example, if we head to Magic Kingdom first thing but we want to hop over to Epcot later, can we use the kiosk at the Magic Kingdom to book our 3 fastpasses in Epcot? Or can you only book at the kiosk for the park where the kiosk is located. As off site guests, it changes our strategy as we are not able to book online. :sad1:

Here is the recap of the Fp+ rules. It doesn't state that you are limited to Fp+ choices in the park where you have entered. For ease of use, the kiosks more than likely have access to the Fp+ database for all parks.

The basic rules remain as they have been in recent weeks:
(1) Guests can make up to 3 FP selections per day.
(2) The FP selections can be made for only one park (no park-hopping option).
(3) Guests can make or modify FP selections at any FP+ kiosk in the park.
(4) Guests must arrive at their selected attraction within their time window or risk being denied FP access.

I thought that offsite guests can only make fast pass+ booking for Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Has this been extended to Epcot and Hollywood Studios now? Are the legacy fast passes discontinued at DHS and Epcot now?

Not yet, but rumor is any day.

No, the PP didn't say when they were going. All of the parks will be discontinuing their Fp- soon.

For now, if your friends park hopped, they would have to pull Fp- at Epcot and DHS.

CJK: here is more info for your friends - from wdwmagic.com:

Disney's Hollywood Studios will transition from legacy paper FASTPASS to FastPass+ on January 21, and Epcot will follow on January 23 2014. This will complete the FastPass+ rollout for all guests at all Walt Disney World theme parks.

Wow - thanks so much! No more legacy fast pass for anyone after January 23rd then! This is great information - thanks!

You're welcome! I'm sure they'll have a great time - especially with all your assistance! :)
