We are leaving in 14 days for WDW - YEA! I am curious how FPs work for our 2 1/2 year old. He is too young to have a ticket so I can not get him a FP. Will he be allowed on the rides with the rest of the family when we use FPs? Will we have to wait on the standby line to ride with him?

You can just take him on with everyone else. We just got back last week and we went on plenty of FP rides and just brought DS with us. Have a great time!

Thanks - I was hoping that the FP system worked that way. We are getting so close to our trip and I was worried about unforeseen complications.

We never once had anyone question us on his age...and he was only a week and a half away from 3! In fact, he'll be 3 on Monday.

Also very good to know. Our 2 1/2 year old is a big little fella. He was 11 lbs 6.8 oz and 24" at birth and has yet to slow down. We are usually asked if he and his 4 year old brother are twins.

Wow! No, you should be fine. Have a terrific time. You should get some great weather and hopefully low crowds!

OH WOW!! I always thought my son was born very big. He was 10 lbs 6 ozs and 22" long :upsidedow

To the OP, on rides that have a height requirment, you can also get a baby swap along with your fast pass.
For instance you get FP's for Test Track, come back later at your FP time, ask the CM at the begining of FP line for baby swap ticket. Now one person waits with the child and the rest of the party goes on, after they are done the person who stayed with the child can now go on and some of the other people in your party can go again. I say some because baby pass is good for 3 or 4 people I think.

My wife and son were the talk of the Mommy-Baby unit. Most of the nurses on the unit stopped by to take a look. Oddly enough, it was just about that time that my wife decided that we would stop at two children. :)

Thank you for the information on the baby swap. I was not quite sure how it worked. I am glad to hear that 3 or 4 people can ride again on the baby pass. We are a fairly large group of extended family (9) sharing the boys' first WDW trip. It is cool that some of our party can ride again.

good grief ya'll have big babies :)
my "little" guy was 7 lbs 15 oz LOL

:rotfl: We were the talk of our unit also. :rotfl: I had one more after my son and my daughter was big also. 9lbs 6ozs 21".

Yes the baby swap is great, we don't use it as much anymore since my daughter is taller and can ride most of the rides. But when we did use it my son always had a chance to go twice.

Best of luck with the big party. We had 13 in our party in 2007 :scared:
