Fast Pass Availability for May 31?

I'm considering a last minute 1 or 2 day trip that weekend. HS opens at 8 that day for some reason (SWW I assume), so I was thinking of trying to knock out TSMM and RnR at ropedrop and make it to Epcot by RD. Are FPs still available for everything at most times except A&E/7DMT for that weekend?

I'm going to try and do all 4 parks in 1 day, and I'm trying to decide what the best strategy would be for FP.

My thoughts on order of parks right now is either:

8-8:30 HS (Will SWW make this a bad decision? Will I be so far behind them that it will do me no good? Or will they all be going to SW specific things so it will actually help me?
8:30-9 walk to Epcot
9-12 Epcot (TT, Soarin', MS, Maelstrom, maybe SE and Figment)

Here is where I'm not sure what to do. With the plan of closing down AK from 6-8, that leaves me with less than 5 hours at MK. What will crowds be like in the 11-1 hours? I'm especially concerned that it won't be enough time to ride the 7DMT. I could go to MK from 12-3, then HS from 3-6 but that adds a LOT of travel. What seems more realistic to me is to immediately go back to HS.

So what do you guys think? Thanks for any advice.

Shameless bump, plus an additional question.

I know the official WDW calendar is not as reliable as the TA calendar, but I would hope it's updated this close to the date. WDW says MK is open until 1 AM that day, but the TA calendar says it's only 11. Is there any way I can know for sure?

At MK on May 31 I find 3 sources with 11PM closure and 2 sources with a 1AM closure.

We'll just have to see what happens as that date zeroes-in.

Disney changed the hours, at least as far as I know. There were a bunch of us that planned according to the old hours and just last week they extended them and changed the EMH. So MK should be open til 1, and I would definitely go there last. Middle of the day will be hot, crowded, and the longest lines.

HS: I would think you'd want to get there prior to opening since they say during SWW they open the gates a little early. Yea, some people will head specifically to SW related stuff but not everyone will and then you'll be behind them.

Epcot should be fine with RD to Soarin then TT single rider. Anything else shouldn't have a very long wait.

Then Animal Kingdom in the afternoon... from there you could really play it by ear. For us we can usually knock out the highlights pretty quick. And taking into consideration the heat it might be a good idea to have a midday TS or indoor CS to escape the crowds, heat, and humidity.

Then finish up the day at MK. I would try to do 7DMT late, because with it being so close to the opening I expect lines to be consistently long.

I'm a little confused with your afternoon plans...

For me I wouldn't want to do 4 parks in a day because I don't think I could fully enjoy or appreciate any attraction and I would be exhausted. But I definitely wouldn't want to jump to any one park more than once because you're killing time with travel.

Yeah, up until about a week ago Disney calendar still had 11PM. We'd be fine either way but I guess I always assumed you should follow the Disney source.

In this case, that may very well be true.

However, 95%+ of the time, if there is a conflict, the "official" WDW calendar is the WRONG source to trust.

Definitely will be exhausting, but I think I'm up to the challenge. Assuming MK is open til 1, this is what I'm thinking right now.

DHS - opens at 7:30 after a 10 minute pre-show. TSMM and Star Tours are the only rides open before 8. Ride TSMM and then head to RnR for when it opens at 8. Then ToT and off to Epcot. I plan on driving. I've never done this but google maps says less than 10 minutes driving between the two lots, but I'll figure for 30.

Epcot at 9. I'll go to Soarin first, then single rider for TT, then MS: Orange and Maelstrom at 11. I might ride Figment or SE on my way out depending on how I'm doing on time and what the wait times are. Then I'll take the monorail to the MK.

MK - I'll set my fastpasses up here. I know I won't be able to get one for the mine train, but like you said I'll just plan on doing it towards the end of the day. I might just stay here the rest of the day, but more than likely I'll head back to DHS around 3-4 for a couple hours.

AK - I'd be willing to cut this out of my trip but I really love EE. I think I could do everything I want to do here in an hour but I'm going to allow for 2. If I finish before 8, great. More time to finish out the day in the MK.
