Fantasy room 8616 question - Murphy or no Murphy?

Okay, on the very reliable DIS thread,

it states for room 8616 (Fantasy) that there is a murphy bed

8616F - 4B - S: 5, B, M

However, when I phone DCL, they tell me that this room only has a pullman sofa and bunk. No murphy bed. We aren't sleeping 5 in that room, but I want it for a tall son who won't sleep on anything else (unless it's the Queen and he's not getting the Queen!) Usually, our DIS list is impeccable, but I'd like to be sure.

So, does it have a murphy bed or not? Has anyone had that room and can you advise me? Thanks.

Well, according to the room reports http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomreport.cfm?Room=8616 it looks like it's just the queen, sofa, and bunk.

And, in doing a couple of quick searches, when I ask for a room that sleeps 5 in that category, none of them came up with that room for 5.

Looks like 8618 on the Dream could accommodate 5. So I would guess 8616 on the Fantasy would, too?

Not necessarily.

You are comparing two different rooms.

On one of the social media group pages I found pics of 8616 on the Dream. There is no murphy - just the pullman bed above the couch, and the couch bed.

I think the family designation just means a bit larger. Not necessarily with additional beds.

Seek 2 years ago, I booked 9112, because this site said it had a murphy. The DIS thread said it didn't, but the CM had even said it did. Well, it didn't. The DIS thread was right and everyone else out there was wrong. So this time, I only looked at the DIS thread, thinking someone had been there and seen the murphy, so they said it had one.
