Fantasy January 23, 2016- STAR WARS

Wow. You're our resident expert so far hahah! Where are you all from? Most everyone so far is Midwest. That's awesome about finding out Star Wars theme after the fact. We also read on of the bars will be a New Hope Cantina themed, with characters n all

I think my husband is looking forward to the Cantina the most. We have been on 5 Carnival cruises and never set foot in the club (we are piano bar people), but I know we will be spending Star Wars night there. Just be aware if you see Han Solo, remember he shot first.

Holy cow! Busy week and I forgot to check in - will update the roll call ASAP!

As for where to stay: we're likely going to head down 2 days early and stay on Disney property. If our friends join us, we'll probably get a limo with them from the hotel to the pier. Well, we might even if they don't - we used the Disney bus last time and it was nice that they picked our luggage up at our room and then we saw it again at our cabin, but we didn't get to the ship until about 2pm!

Any advice or tips for debarkation day... Traveling with 3 kids, luggage, and a car seat.... Flight doesn't leave until 7pm. So we have some time to kill. Any suggestions that won't cost a killing? And for anyone that has done this before... What is the usual debarkation time (I know they start at 7:30 but looking to see what people usually do) and how long it takes to get on the shuttle to the airport? Thanks!!!

We got a dayroom at the MCO Hyatt. It was about $100 but it was nice to have a place to crash and a pool to use. You're kicked out of your room pretty early, so I showered there, too.

The wait for the shuttle to the airport was pretty quick. We had a late breakfast (relatively speaking) and then walked straight off the ship, through Customs, and then right on to the shuttle.

Yeah, we're not club people, either, but the opportunity to visit a Star Wars Cantina is probably more than enough reason to join in the rush!

I'm trying to convince my husband to wear a costume. We've been married almost 15 years. He's never worn one, so it's an uphill battle ;)

I convinced my hubby to dress up for the first time this past Halloween. I think he only agreed to do it because we did Star Wars. We dressed at Han, Leia, and dressed the baby up as Yoda. I'm not sure I can convince him to do it on the cruise though, especially since DS outgrew the Yoda costume.

Hi, I'm new here! Hubby and I are booked with our 2 boys, Beck (6 will be 7 at the time) and Brady (5 will be just about to turn 6). They don't know yet, and we haven't at all figured out how we're going to surprise them.

DH and I have cruised before with NCL, for our honeymoon. And the 4 of us have been to DL (the boys were a bit young for it). But we can't wait for this cruise!

Roll call!
kangabb: Kristen, Cam, Beck (7), Brady (almost 6) from Calgary, Canada.

Excellent! Thank you for sharing. Where were you able to locate this information?

I will step up and take charge of the FE for our cruise. I've never done one before but I'm sure I can handle it. I do love my spreadsheets!

Fish Extender Group
If you want to participate in the FE please send me a PM with your cabin number, the names of everyone in your cabin, and the ages of the kids at the time of sailing.

I am going to keep a running list of everyone that has signed up for the FE here, however I will spilt the list up to groups of 15 cabins to keep it manageable for everyone. If you want to participate in more than 1 group please let me know and I will add you to as many groups as you want. I am going to set the cut off to sign up for the FE at November 30, 2015. This will allow everyone enough time to get their gifts together before the cruise.

If you are not listed below then I have not added you to the FE group. If you want to me added please let me know.

1. hmwinter85 – Holly, Mike, Owen (2)
2. Powerhouse47 – DH, DW, Jack (7), Jones (1.5)
3. Mrsozsquad – Jackie, Dennis, Lucy (12), Emma (10), Joseph (8)
4. zonkvadr – Veronica, Ronnie, Marshall (11), Willie (10)
5. submarinelife – John, Lisa, Logan (9), Olivia (6)

So I am new to Disboards and having some technical difficulties. I have made my 10 posts and have not been able to figure out how to PM you. Please help if you can. Thank you.

I am new to Disboards and am having technical difficulties. Just wondering how you mark a forum as a watched forum. It seems I can follow/watch a thread but can't figure out how to do it for a forum. Also, how do you add the great tickers and such. Any help/advise would be great. Thanks.

I sent you a PM so you can just reply to it with your info for the FE and I'll sign you up.

I had trouble figuring out how to send PM too, so don't worry. To send a PM all you have to do it go up to Inbox on the top right next to your user name. Click "start a new conversation" under participants type the name of the person you are trying to message, and then just fill out your message and hit send I believe. Hope that helps.

Click on one of those cool banners. It will take you to a creation page. Once you create one you like, copy and paste the "Code" it gives you to the end of any message.

This will be our 3rd Cruise during this same week. Weather at the port was COLD both years -- definitely need to keep your sweaters out before your board. This past January, the weather stayed cold and windy through the first day at sea. Once we hit the Caribbean it was lovely. Can't wait to experience it again!
Thanks for the info!

Thank you so much. We were thinking the same thing!
