This is a question for the more experienced cruisers...my father in law has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and has been given less than 6 months. We are thinking about getting travel insurance, but we're hearing from friends who have had similar situations that if we got it and my father in law passes around our departure date we'd loose our money if we had to cancel or reschedule b/c of a funeral. However these friends have never traveled thru Disney...has anyone had any experience with this? would the cancer be considered "pre-exhisting". Just trying to figure out if we should get insurance or reschedule now. Thanks.

So sorry to hear about your father in law's diagnosis. I know that's never an easy thing to face....it just seems so awful to give someone a time frame of when to expect the end. Hopefully they are able to keep him comfortable and your family can create some great memories with him between now and whenever his time comes. As far as the travel insurance, I'm not sure at all...we've never purchased it and (knock on wood) have never really needed it. Hopefully someone on here can direct you to a travel insurance plan that would cover what you are looking for.

Here is a Link to Disney's travel insurance. Hope it helps.

I would like to start a thread for the teens going on this cruise to meet. My daughter did that before our last cruise and she had friends before boarding and she hung out with them almost every night. Does anyone have teens who would be interested in stating a thread? If so I will try to start one, although I am not sure I exactly know how! My daughter probably will! I als o have a teen son that may be interested in joining also.

Has anyone heard what is available??? Palo brunch or dinner, Remy, beach cabana etc

We'll have two teens on board; our daughter will be 16 (just before the cruise), and our son will be 14. They're both kind of shy, but if you start something, I'll try to convince them to join up. Thanks.

I added cruise activities starting at 12:01am ET :goodvibes

I had no issue with Palo dinner availability and I got the time and day I wanted. All nights were available with no limited times on any.

Palo brunch Sun had 12pm and 12:30pm slots. Thu had 10am, 12pm, 12:30pm
Remy brunch Sun had 11:30 am, 11:50 am, 12:10 pm, and 12:30 pm. Thu had only 12:10pm.
Remy dinner available all days although very limited (8:10pm only) on Day 2 Sunday.

All Castaway Cay cabanas were sold out.

I stayed up until midnight. I got Palo brunch! It was all I wanted so I am happy. I also just did check in. I tried at 330 am but it was too much work and I was too tired. I got an 11:00 port arrival. Im not sure what the earliest is but that sounds like it is going to be busy, just like last time!

We also got Palo brunch & dinner at 12:01!:banana:
Going to do on line check in now. We are using DCL Transfers so no big rush.
Good luck to everyone!

Rob
