Question about pre-booking excursions. If I pre-book, do I pay now or will it be on my shipboard account? My first time with DCL but I've cruised many times and usually book private excursions or go by taxi. I have OBC and $$ in Disney Rewards so I want to use that to pay for ship excursions ;).

Excursions will be on your shipboard account, and yes, it's nice to use Disney Rewards to settle the bill.

Yay!! Thank you. Ordinarily I'd still book on my own, but why not use those rewards. I'll have more than enough to cover the account. :thumbsup2 And then start adding them up for the next time.

Stayed up late to book my port arrival time and was pleasantly surprised to get 11:30-12! Still have to figure out my ship excursions so I better get on that.

Strangely, when I log in, it still says 76 days. :confused3

Use the logout link, then log back in. Refreshing apparently doesn't work.

EDIT-oh, mine still says that too. (I thought you meant you couldn't reserve anything.) Maybe it won't actually shift until boarding time?

Disney holds back some reservations for those who are booking at 75 days also. Your chances of getting a Palo reservation are still good. :thumbsup2

Yep, just snagged these, they were available for a few times as of a few minutes ago.

Nice! Were you able to get a table for two? I was trying to switch to an earlier time, but it's saying only 11:30 brunch on day two is available. :headache:

We are in Westchester county. My DDs (13 and 10) are experienced DCLers... and will surely be in the clubs! Have DD give it a try they have some cool stuff there.

We are in Nassau County. My DD turning 13 jan 5th. We are so excited!!

No, we actually have a group of six for brunch as we are traveling with family. I may try to get dinner just for my wife and I upon boarding, but I have other priorities before that depending on our MDR rotation.

Ah, yes, I did see that I could get a table for a larger party. But, not for just two. Oh well. If it doesn't pop up before, we can switch it onboard, or just cancel.

Me and my wife are first time cruisers but big Disney fans. We will be sailing on this cruise with no kids. Anybody else on this cruise had any experience doing DCL with no kids.

Almost. We sailed with our teen boys. We hardly ever saw them. Aside from seeing them briefly in the morning, for dinner and when they snuck in at night for bed, the DH and I were on our own. We kept in touch by wave phone when needed.

This time it's just the DH and I. :cool1:

I was recently told by a Disney sales manager that, contrary to what you may think, despite the fact that Disney is set up as an all ages, family friendly line, more people sail on DCL without kids, than with kids. Who knew, right?

Question from a first timer. My reservation summary has guest ashore times and guest aboard time. Does guest ashore mean that is when you are allowed to start going ashore. The reason I ask is I have a time for guest ashore Grand Cayman 11:30 and have a submarine excursion for 11:45.

Yes, the guest ashore times for the ports is the time they generally expect to release guests to leave the ship.

Grand Cayman is also a tender-only port so you will be taking a boat from the Fantasy over to the shore. At the others ports the ship will be at a dock and you walk off.

This will be our third Disney cruise without kids so we must like it:thumbsup2 There are so many adult only areas on the ship as well on Castaway Cay you will have a great time. My tip would be to book the late dining as there are fewer kids at the later time. The aqua duck is fun for adults so do try it. Check the navigator each day for the adult activities. You will find many adult only cruisers on the ship.

We will be cruising without kids for the first time! We did Vero Beach last February without kids. It felt weird at first but very relaxing.
