I know there was some discussion a few months back about excursions, but does anyone have any updated plans/thoughts on either Disney excursions or other activities at port? We're having a hard time deciding - there's so much to choose from!

I know there was some discussion a few months back about excursions, but does anyone have any updated plans/thoughts on either Disney excursions or other activities at port? We're having a hard time deciding - there's so much to choose from!

I always look at tripadvisor for ideas. And depending on the port, cost differences, and my perceived safety of the destination I will decide whether to book on my own or use Disney for the excursions. But I tend to lean on booking excursions on my own.


For Costa Maya I have book an outside excursion with an outfit called "The Native Choice". It will be a tour of the Chaccohoben Ruins. I think it was $50pp

For Grand Cayman I was looking at Marineland Tours, but they told me the are working to become an official Disney excursion and wanted me to not book yet until he finalized the details.

For Cozumel there are alot of things I am considering, like:
Dune Buggy Tours
Salsa and Salsa Cozumel
Josepphina's Kitchen
Pantera Jeep Tours
and finally... what looks like a lot of fun...
The Amazing Race Cozumel
DCL has the following which i like as well:
Tulum, Jeep Safari Tour, DuneBuggy/Snorkle

Jump on Google and check some of these out.

One thing worth noting is that in Cozumel there will be three other ships in port, but we will be the only ship in port at all the others stops. So I think if you plan to book an outside excursion in Cozumel, time is of the essence.

Just booked the ruins tour by Native Choice also. I have seen several great recommendations for this excursion.

We are booked through Native Choice as well although I am a little concerned that we will be cutting it very close to when the ship leaves Any feedback from people who did this excursion with the limited time at port?


FYI - we were able to book dinner, excursions etc on Friday - looks like all Family Cabanas were gone by 12:15 AM Those of you hoping for one here's some pixie dust that there will be a few cancellations

Hey Silmarg;

Yep, it's the same AVP you're thinking about! There's 4 of us from MousePlanet going on this cruise. Steph takes care of our weekly email newsletter (she does a great job; you should sign up!), Tony is our main tech guy, I copy edit (I don't write nearly so much these days but I do review smartphone apps once a month) and AVP basically does everything else, it seems like! lol.
