Please count us in for the FE exchange and the magnet exchange! DD sooo loves the FE (me too!) and I don't want to miss out on the fun!

Chief71, how old are your girls? My DD will be turning 10 just before we sail and will be excited to make new friends. We are not telling her about the cruise until April 7th....yes, I am serious, we are not telling her until we get up that morning! :goodvibes

Mine are 8 & 5, The other couple we are going with are 8 & 4. It would be great for the older ones to play and meet new friends. We also haven't told our girls...They too will be finding out on April 7th! I can't wait to see there faces, they think we are going to the beach in Florida

That's doesn't even give enough time to let it sink in.

Yep, she's going to be in shock! We are telling her that for spring break we are going to FL and that we are going to swim with dolphins...both true!!! Just the little twist that the dolphin swim is not happening in FL ;)

We decided to surprise her out of necessity. She gets so excited about our trips that she can't think about much else. She's a good student and having the best year ever at school and we don't need any distractions! So that is how it came to be a surprise...though I am enjoying the idea for the fun of it too!

Are your friends surprising their kids too? How are you going to do it?

I got my DD a t-shirt at Vistaprint that says "Countdown to my next Disney Cruise.....0 Days!" I'm going to pull out that shirt and some shorts the morning of the 7th just like I'm pulling any 'ole outfit out of her suitcase...then I'm going to wait for the reaction :goodvibes

The other couple's kids know. I have to give Abby the 8 yr old a present for keeping such a huge secret. The t-shirt idea is fantastic! We haven't thought yet how to tell them. Where are you doing the dolphin swim? We are doing it in Costa Maya

We are doing the dolphin swim in Grand Cayman. We have been on a land trip to Grand Cayman so we've seen most of the sights so we thought it would be a good place to do it. Wow, I am impressed that your friend's 8 year old can keep that kind of secret! I'm not sure if my DD could do that!

HI Kimberley,

I have added you to the exchanges. Glad you decided to take part. Could you please PM me your Cabin # so I can put it on the list I am maintaining?

Thanks

Christopher

I'm still around. No one seems talkative as of late. I thought it was because a Facebook group had been formed but it is absolutely blank there too.

I am baffled by how little people are sharing, planning, being excited!!:confused3:confused3:confused3

Hi I am here too...I think it's a similar case across the board. I am part of a meet group for the 28th July fantasy cruise and it's dead....keep bumping it to try and get interest but so far the FE interest is just me and one other who is yet to PM me her details:confused3 and before I joined the last posted was back in october:scared1:

I am absolutely shattered this week, lots of running around for the kids to different after school activities, and then a mad rush today to get the cupboards stocked up at home as we had a snow warning for tonight, which has hit in the last few hours, so looks like tomorrow will be a chill day, with se fun in the snow.

I am about to start on my MV FE gifts, and have this groups in hand, just awaiting final numbers to complete.

Hope everyone is ok and the group gets more activity soon

Maybe it's a bit of a lull before the excitement begins...who knows....it might all start again soon.

This new thread was a great idea, as I kept checking into the previous thread but it all got a bit confusing with the maiden voyage being moved. Maybe there are still some people to find this one?

We are not sure what we are doing for shore activities, it's difficult with a 2 year old. We've been to Cozumel before and really just stayed in the port town, might do the same again and just make the most of the ship this time.

We have a friend who has been to Costa Maya and he said there is nothing at the port area and you need to get a taxi to see a bit more of the island.

Anyone got any plans for port days?

We were supposed to have snow here but only sleet/rain so I think we will be ok tomorrow. Although I have one disappointed 5 year old...lol

I am envious of those of you getting snow! We live in the southeast but in an area that typically gets at least one decent snow per year (enough to close schools and do some light sledding). This year it's been unbelievably warm! I guess there's still a chance that it will get cold and we'll see some snow, but the odds of that happening are dwindling.

I have started my packing list for the cruise and have begun picking up things as I'm out shopping. I will probably start packing suitcases about a month out...LOL. No matter how far in advance I get started with my packing and planning, there is always a last minute meltdown in terms of getting ready! I'm hoping now that we are going on cruise #4 that we can avoid that this time. Oh well, all I know is once I step foot onboard it's all about relaxing!

We are still here too! Just a crazy time at school, getting ready for standardized testing and lots of activities. Jr. High is never dull!!!
Been to these ports several times so just planning to wander around and do shopping in Cozumel. We like Costa Maya, port area has a great pool and lots to look at. Plan on spending time aboard with less people and getting on the Aqua Duck!!! Our weather here in Chicago is highly unusual for the winter and have had only 2 snows all winter. SSSSHHHH. Let's keep it that way. Temps not unbearable so all in all happy that it is almost over. Can't shake the feeling we could get snowed under any day though.

I am also still here. I have been traveling a lot for work lately. But really looking forward to this cruise. I can't believe it is only 2 months away! Time to start putting things aside in a suitcase. I just requested to join the facebook group. I am on facebook much more than the disboards, so that may be easier for me.

Hi All! We have been so busy with DD's high school dive season! Two more weeks and then I can focus! My other DD will be done with high school cheering tonight, so that will make life easier!

I can't believe we have 60 days from today! I am ready to start shopping and packing. Our FE hangs in a kitchen closet and is filled with markers, crayons and other junk. I guess I need to clean it out soon!

Our group is scheduled for the following excursions: Grand Cayman - scuba for the guys and Seven Mile Beach Break for the rest of us, Costa Maya - Jungle Beach Break and Cozumel - Fury Catamaran Sail and Snorkel. We are pretty excited about what we booked! We didn't get Palo Brunch reservations (boo!) and we aren't interested in Remy.

We hope to do a few of the wine/beer/champagne tastings while on board. I think the spa is overpriced so I didn't book anything for me. I did book a surprise for my DD who will be graduating from high school in June.

The last thing I need to do before we cruise is to lose a few pounds! I lost weight prior to our last cruise three years ago, bought a new dress for the cruise and then had trouble fitting in it by the end of the trip!! It was kind of funny! I plan to be more active on this trip. I hope to walk around deck 4 (or whatever deck has the jogging track) every morning before I begin my day of eating and drinking!!

I hope everyone is doing well and surviving this very mild winter. It has been very warm in the southeast, like itutorfortravel said! I don't know if we will even see snow this year. For those of you who have so much of it, I'm sorry!

Here's to the next 60 days of cruise preparations!!! Cheers!

I know what you mean. When I saw my ticker this morning and it said 2 months with nothing else behind it I was so excited. I placed an order for some things on line yesterday so I guess I have got my shopping started already too.

I will put your number on speed dial on my onboard Wave Phone and find out if you are going to a tasting. And If you need a walking buddy, count me in. If you have noticed my signature area, I have been working on losing some weight before the cruise as well. So far so good. I joined a challenge team on the W.I.S.H thread that is here on the DIS. Great motivation to have a group of people that encourage each other and challenge each other to stay on their healthy eating programs. You should give it a look. There are lots of different challenges that you can get involved with.

Well the temps here are not getting any better. Just frozen frozen frozen. it has been about a high of 8° F the last 2 days and supposed o get worse this weekend. UGH. DISNEY CRUISE LINE TAKE ME AWAY

Is there a place on the internet to register for the Edge, tween program? I am confused as I didn't see it but received an email today fro DCL with a link to registering and saving time. However when I clicked on the link, I was taken to the Planning site for cruise. Anyone know about this? I believe I read on the main forum page this is done when checking in and then an open house. Thanks for any help.
