My countdown ticker says 51 days!

Been super swamped with work so haven't checked in for a while. We are all getting super excited for the cruise here in South Dakota. Its been the mildest winter on record since 1910 here so everything is already greening up for summer. Still cant wait to stick my feet in the sand on CC.

Hope all are doing well. I plan to be more plugged in here up til the cruise. I say some postings of people getting uprades that are on a mid May cruise - so keep your eyes posted on your ressies over the next couple weeks - pixie dust may be in the air for some. And I would anticipate that within 3 to 4 weeks we should be getting cruise docs.

1) What one thing are you most interested in "discovering" on the Fantasy?

Everything!!

2) Who are you most excited to see/meet and why?

We're crossing our fingers that we'll get our favourite head server, Cedomir. Otherwise, Cruise Director Brent and donaldsgal, her sister, and niece! We're hopping we have good table mates too.

3) What is/are your kids most over-the-moon excited about?

We are both big kids, and we are looking forward to mini golf, the AquaDuck, and seeing the kids' clubs and wishing we were young enough to play with all the cool stuff there.

4) What non-kid activity are you most looking forward to?

Art of the ship tour, if they have it. Otherwise, I haven't a clue... most things we do are kid-friendly. And without any kids, everything is just us anyway...

5) What flavor/taste are you most looking forward to on the Fantasy?

Call me strange, but I'm looking forward to chips (french fries)! We don't eat them at home and a plate of chips makes a yummy cruise snack. I'm also excited to see what sort of allergy-friendly dessert they will make me. Chocolate lava cake? Cobbler? They never disappoint!

Hey, I know I should know this, but can someone enlighten me - what cruises has the Fantasy sailed? I was thinking it was just the media cruise because the Deb Wills of AllEars and other groups, like Disney blogs I follow, were on the cruise. And some are sailing again, so are they headed back for the inaugural? I'm confused! I'm trying feverishly to study up on the ship to maximize my time on board, and as I scour for videos and updates, I see some media people have already sailed and are heading back. I also want to watch for menus and show schedules and such! Thanks!

Good morning DIS'ers. Donaldsgal, I too am confused about the pre-maiden voyage cruises, but I have read that the inaugural cruise starts tomorrow.

I love when you guys put up links to insightful or new webpages that I haven't found. In hopes that someone has found a Fantasy TR somewhere, here are some of my current favorites:

The inaugural cruise is definitely sailing tomorrow. Prior to that, there have been 'shakedown' cruises, and press/agent tours. Our travel agent was on the ship yesterday, but it stayed in dock the entire time.

Thanks for the good thoughts, they worked my Uncle Tony is now home and is doing much better. The staff at the hospital were great and for now he is doing better and looks to be out of the woods. So grateful for that.

So now to get excited about going to Jetty Park tomorrow for the Sail-A-Bration for the Fantasy's Maiden Voyage. I will take lots of photos and report back.

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't gotten to know anyone very well yet. Shortly after this group was formed we happily found out we were expecting another baby AND bought a new house, remodeled and sold our old house and moved. So, the cruise planning was put a bit on the back burner. lol.

Our second daughter Alexandra was born in December and will be 5 months old when we depart on this trip...a little nervous about that, but hey, it's Disney.

Anyways, I'm hoping to play a little catch-up and get to know you all before departure.

My absolute favorite item is always the escargot in Lumiere's. It is GONE! according to that menu. I am pretty sure it is in the RP equivalent on the Dream. Sure hope it is a website mistake... I even arranged our Palo reservation completely around this...!

According to my reservation on Disney, my countdown says 49 days until we set sail!!!! Checking out the port and I see Magic is at the terminal...assuming setting sail this afternoon.....and Fantasy is at the port, but further down. Guessing after Magic sails away Fantasy is going to pull in and get ready to Inagural Sailing tomorrow!!! Can't wait to watch it on the webcam!!!!!!

Hello, everyone. I'm trying to get on the board as much as possible. We have been busy with 2 boys in basketball, that has finished and now we are doing baseball. Practice every night and games on Thursday and Saturday.

I'm disappointed to say we didn't win the mega millions last night . One of the things on my wish list was to get one of the concierge suites that is still available for our cruise. Oh well, I'll just stick with our cabin and still have the vacation of our dreams.

We are about to head to the game so talk to everyone later. I'm hoping to watch the Fantasy leave on her MV this afternoon. I can't wait for them to get back and start reading trip reports about it.

Here's a pretty good review of Europa-- I'm not usually a nightclubber when it comes to cruises (I'm usually beat by the time it comes for that!!!!), but after reading up on these, I'm thinking I might come around to it!
