Is the dinner package needed for "slower" times like mid-october?

TIA

DW and I both agree that its not really NEEDED ever...........Its a nice little deal, but you don't get any better seats than by showing up later........................Especially during slow times of the year.......................During that time of year, you can show up 10-15 minutes prior to show time end up near the Dinner Package Seats................

Even though I have always gone off season, Oct and Dec, I've done the package because I don't want to wait in the Fantasmic line to get a seat and then wait in the seat.

There is only one show off season so I don't have a second chance to see it.

I like being able to get there 1/2 beforehand and have my seat waiting for me.

Maybe I don't 'need' it but I still do it as we HATE lines and I'd do anything to avoid them.

We tried last week without the package. Got there 30 minutes before show and wound up in the top Standing room only section or whatever it is up on top where you cannot see anything. We just left. We will do the package next time.

My advice = get there early, about 1 hour and just sit back, enjoy the time off your feet, maybe have a snack, or bring small games for the kids and get up front middle seats.

This is what we did last time (DBF and I ) . We arrived 1 hour prior and were seated front row center. It was amazing.

The seats are all good, but IMO, the ones for the dining package are only so-so because they are off to the side.

:) Enjoy!

We watch the show everytime we go (only once a year for me.) Last year we were given reserve tickets (long story, but I was run over by a CM, pushing an ice cart, while I was sitting on the ground waiting for the daily parade) anyways... the seats were pretty poor - off to the center and towards the top of the stands. We ended up leaving before the show began and came back another night to get better seats.

IMO: I don't think the package would be worth it.

We went the first week of February and it was very uncrowded in all the parks...point of reference: RnRC was averaging a 10 minute standby wait or less even in the middle of the day. I chose not to do the package because I had read so many posts of how uncrowded it would be and how we could go 30 min ahead and get great seats. We arrived at the Fantasmic stadium over 45 minutes before showtime (which, apparently was about 5 minutes later than everyone else), felt like cattle being herded into the stadium, and got seats comparable to that with the package but on the opposite side. (The "package people" were still strolling in 10 minutes before showtime--after I had already been sitting on cold metal bleachers trying to occupy three kids for half an hour--and getting the same seats as us.) Then, when the show ended, I noticed that the exit is directly behind the package section, so they all got out ahead of me, too! I had to do the "cattle thing" again to get out, and the "package people" were probably all long gone by the time I found my stroller. I won't ever go again without the package. I thought the seats were fine, but I would rather have a much shorter wait to get them. Many people seem to disagree, but this was my experience and I don't want to do it again! ;)
