Fantasmic! Superthread - Or Everything You Need To Know About Fantasmic at Disneyland

I need to make our Fantasmic Dessert reservations tomorrow morning. However, I'll be in church when the time first becomes available. Should I have the GC book this for me, or is it ok to wait and call a few hours after it's first available?

If the GC needs to book it for me, how do I go about doing that?

Can it be booked online? If that's the case, then I could probably do it on DH's iPad before services begin.

Thanks!
I believe the number for Disney Vacation Planning for those staying at one of the three Disney hotels is:

714-300-7526

I called at 8:02 and I have been on hold for 13 minutes so far. Is that normal? At least they have good music playing!

ETA: I called this number (714-781-4400) at 7:00. They redirected me to 714 781 7469 and told me to call at 8:00. She also told me which numbers to push during the spiel, but I never got a spiel, I just got put directly on hold. I'm glad this isn't something that usually fills up in the first hour usually. Although if it does, I guess I'll just have to deal with it.

ETA Again: I called the 4400 number again, and they redirected to another number. I've been on hold there for another 20 minutes so far. I keep thinking about hanging up, but I don't know if it will be any easier to get through this afternoon. What do you think?

We will arrive on a night with 2 F! shows. 5pm Dinner at Carnation Cafe for either after 4pm parade or before 6pm parade. Hang out in Adventureland until around 8:45, head to Frontierland side of HUB for Fireworks. After Fireworks take Rancho Zocalo shortcut to NOS try for Hydroguy seating area 3. Watch second F! and take the train or walk out of park (whichever seems less crazy) What do you think?

That should work. Right now the Rancho short cut is not open because of the Princess Fantasy Faire construction which should open on the 12th. After that it would seem the shortcut will work again. But it may be more busy in that area than before.

Second choice is just to scoot through Frontierland. The CMs will hold you near the Mark Twain until they have cleared out the 1st Fantasmic show and swept up.

I appreciate all of the work you have put into helping others enjoy their DL experience!!!

How crazy is the exit after the 2nd F!? What do you recommend to make it as smooth as possible?

Exiting after the 2nd Fantasmic show? DO NOT EXIT THROUGH ADVENTURELAND. That is the biggest advice. Use Frontierland. If you really want to avoid crowds then wait for 10 minutes and the exit.

I just wanted to share an experience we had with Fantasmic Premium Viewing last Saturday. I had reserved the seating a month prior and went to the Tour Desk beside City Hall earlier in the day to pick up the ticket. Everything went fine until we showed up at the reserved seating lineup. The cast member told us that we didn't have tickets and needed them to get in. All we had been given was a receipt (although it stated on the receipt thenumber of people, price, when to show up etc). He told us we had to go all the way back to get the tickets at City Hall. I asked if they could send someone as we had small children and there was no way we could make it there and back before the show started (this was close to 8:30pm). Finally he gave in and seated us without the official tickets. he said this happens often so please beware and make sure you have "tickets" not just a receipt which looks like a ticket.

Just wanted to add a small piece of information. If you purchase/reserve tickets for the Fantasmic Dessert Pacakge, you can't cancel them and get a refund. You can't sell them to someone else either. Who ever you put as the name on the reservation has to pick up the tickets at Town Hall and show the credit card that was used to purchase. At that point, you can pass the tickets off to someone else. Learned this the hard way... we were going to switch our non-park day because we'll be there for 5 nights/6 days and there's no guarantee we can add a 6th day to our ticket.

Now that Fantasy Faire is open, is the Rancho del Zocalo shortcut available for getting to the 2nd show from the hub after fireworks? Is this the best path to take?

I have not tried it myself but have heard it still it works.

Hello,

I read the entire thread, including the first post. That was created a while ago and I have several questions because things often change at Disneyland.

1. Is the price still the same for the Fantasmic! Dessert seating?

2. Where, exactly, is the line currently for check in?

3. My son is turning 10 a week before we will be at Disneyland. Is he considered an 'adult' or a 'child' for this ticket?

4. My son is also in a wheelchair but he can walk short distances into a regular chair. We've been to Fantasmic! many times but always sat down in the front with out blankets. This will be the first time attempting the Fantasmic! Dessert seating option. Is there a spot near the chairs to put his wheelchair? It is rather hard to fold up so I'm not sure what our best option is with it. I've seen the location of the chairs, and he should be ok to walk into the section. Does anyone have experience with this?

Thank you.

Hello,

I read the entire thread, including the first post. That was created a while ago and I have several questions because things often change at Disneyland.

1. Is the price still the same for the Fantasmic! Dessert seating? $60 Adult/$50 child

2. Where, exactly, is the line currently for check in? The churro cart in front of HM

3. My son is turning 10 a week before we will be at Disneyland. Is he considered an 'adult' or a 'child' for this ticket? Adults are 10 and up, so he should be considered an adult.

4. My son is also in a wheelchair but he can walk short distances into a regular chair. We've been to Fantasmic! many times but always sat down in the front with out blankets. This will be the first time attempting the Fantasmic! Dessert seating option. Is there a spot near the chairs to put his wheelchair? Does anyone have experience with this? I do not know the answer to this question.
Thank you.

Hope that helps.

I'd suggest asking one of the Cast Members that are around when you check-in at the podium near the seating area. Ask them if they could assist you with his wheelchair. Often times, they'll be glad to put their best foot forward and do what they can to help. They probably will just park it near the fences or around the area where they wheel out the mobile coffee bar for refreshments. Also, I think it should be fairly simple (providing he can stand up and walk easily for a very brief period of time) to transfer from a wheelchair to the seating area... the check-in podium is a mere few steps away from where you get seated.

My family and I will be taking advantage of reserved seating for Fantasmic! in early August. Since things seem to change over time, I wanted to know if everyone in my party has to be in line with their tickets before the show to select seats, or can one person show up early with all of the tickets in hand to select seats for the group?

Only one person needs to be there to get seats for everyone. They should have everyone's F! tickets with them.

Thank you, HydroGuy. My kids will be glad to know they can go ride POC or HM while I'm standing in line!

Thank you. I will do that. They have been very helpful in the past especially regarding World Of Color, so figured it wouldn't be much trouble.

I can't wait to see Fantasmic! with chairs and yummy snacks.

We did it last year with a kid in a stroller, not the same but similar. They had a place within their little fenced off area where they put it, it was big enough to hold a chair. The only thing I'd advise, well a couple things actually, is to not bring him through the line up for picking seats then make sure to leave tons of time to get him to the area. When we were there the line went down the stairs and it was very awkward with the stroller. It's also extremely congested to the point everyone will just stop because there is no where to walk, the less time he has to spend there the better; yet you also want to make sure to leave time to get through it. For reference it took my husband 20 minutes to take my son to the bathroom next to the train station and come back; that normally would be a two minute walk.
