Does anyone have some ideas on the Fantasmic Show and eatting in the ampitheather? Is there a counter service close by? Will they allow you to bring in food while waiting for the show to start? We do not plan to do the ADR resturants to get the priority tickets. I've read on Deb's site there is a food service in the back of the theater, is this true? Would like to grab a quick meal (while in line or waitting in the theater). My family has never seen fantasmic and we would love to see it. Thanks for any help you might be able to offer. :flower:

You can also get something from the quick serve just outside the theater entrance by B&TB and bring it in. There is anaheim produce, we like to grab some fruit and I can't remember the quick serve restaurant right outsde by TOT and B&TB but I am sure someone will pop in and let us know.

We went about 2 hours early based on other notes from folks saying you need to get there early to get a good seat. I think we probably over reacted--but it was fun anyway. Its a huge ampitheater--curved around the stage/lake. Make sure when you sit down that you don't sit right in front of one of the big posts down front--it sort of disappears into the night when it gets dark, but can block some of your view because there are some things down on the lake that you want to see. (I am not going to say more!)

We got some snacks, brought jackets in case it got chilly, and brought stuff to do. My DH and DS played cards while DD and I colored, snacked, and visited with the folks around us. It was very relaxing after a busy day of footin' it all over MGM.

You will really love this show. It is amazing and moving in a Disney sort of way--enjoy!

Live, quickgold, tjm - thanks for the information. This will be our first time seeing Fantasmic and I am so excited about it. Thanks to your info. I know it will be more fun for us.

Thanks alot!!!

What time of year did you go, that you say you overreacted to the time frame to get there? We do not have any Fantasmic reservations, so I want to be sure I see it also, I will be there on Wed Oct 5..

Thanks!

When I went to see it a few years ago with a friend, we arrived 2 hours early. We did sit down in the front row and had a good time chatting with some of the cast members. It filled up quick and we remember looking around watching as people came in and then seeing all those standing in the back. We were glad to get there early. I believe that it was July when I was there.

Also, we intentionally sat in the front row. Just as an FYI, there is a good chance that you'll get wet down front. Not soaked, but in the July heat and humidity...it was nice. It was like a steady mist.

We usually get a hot dog or turkey leg outdside of the ampitheatre and bring it in with us.

We went the week before Memorial Day in May...I think we were there either the Mon or Tue before Memorial Day weekend. The crowds according to Mike the Tour Guide and other sources were supposed to be really high because of the celebration. Although the park was busy that day, alot of people told us that it was not really that bad. We didn't have to wait in line for anything for more than 5 or 10 minutes.

I'm sure at busier times (like summer) you do need to be there 1 - 2 hours early. But even though we got there a little early, it was kinda fun. We got more and more excited sitting there, listening to other folks that had seen the show before. I think we were all a little misty when it was over--and not cause of the overspray from the show.

Trust me--you'll LOVE it! I can't wait to see it Dec 06!
