Fantasmic right before rehab?

I am trying to arrange our schedule so that we can see Fantasmic on Sat. Jan. 24th since it will be closed for rehab the rest of the time we are at WDW. Any educated guesses on the attendance? I know it is the slow time of the year but I am wondering with it going into rehab the next day if that Sat. night might be packed.

We are going to be at Epcot during the day so we can do the PSB breakfast for dd's bday and then we are thinking of hopping over to MGM late in the afternoon. Any opinions on whether we should do a PS that night?

Yeah, thanks for asking this question kessieann! We too will be there the same time and my children were soooo disappointed when I told them it would be closed for rehab while we there, maybe we could try and squeeze it in that evening as well!

We are doing the same thing. I think it will be packed. We usually go in to be seated about 10 min before the show in Jan and get good seats. I think we will be spending a lot of time waiting this year. It is a great show and there is no way that we are missing it.

Can someone please tell me why you think that Fantasmic will be closing for rehab? I checked around and I cannot find that information anywhere. But if it is going to be shut down, thank you for the heads up. I will be there starting on Jan. 22nd and was not planning on rushing to see Fantasmic, but I will now. Thanks for the info.

According to this site and Deb's, Fantasmic is scheduled for a rehab from 1/25 to 1/31. I couldn't find anything on the Disney site. If your going on the 24th I'd get there early. Luckily for us we're getting there on the 21st which gives us a couple of days.

In addition to the info I have seen here, I was told by (407) WDW-DINE that they could not book Fantasmic dinner packages for the days indicated (except it was through Feb. 1, not Jan. 31). It sounds right to me. I should say though that I got an email response from Disney to a question I had that said that the schedule Fantasmic has yet to be determined.

I called to setup ps for the Fantasmic dinner package at H&V for January 24. The only times available were a 4:00, 4:15, and 4:30. I suggest that you may want to call for PS soon. I didn't check on the Brown Derby, and Momma Melrose.

I was surprised that they had so few reservations left.

The reason why they have so few reservations left is probably because there is only 1 showing of Fantasmic! and that's at 6:00ish. The parks close early in January and they want you to eat before the show.

I agree that Fantasmic! is bound to be very busy. If you *really* want to see it, you should get the special Fantasmic! package.
