Fantasmic Question

We have ADRs for Hollywood & Vine as part of the Fastasmic dinner package for our trip in Sept. But I'm thinking of cancelling and trying to get an ADR for 50's Prime Time or the Sci Fi Dine in. Is it better to have the Fantasmic dinner package, or can we get seats without it and not have to wait in line too long? Also, my DH uses a wheelchair - I assume they have handicapped seating? What's your opinion - do I need the dinner package for Fantasmic or not? :confused3
Thanks.

The handicapped seating at Fantasmic is very good. My mom is in a wheelchair and we sat there for Fantasmic last year. It DOES fill up quickly, and I don't know if there is a special seating arrangement for wheelchairs in the reserved seating area. I'm assuming there would be. If it were ME, I'd keep the package to be safe.

Wheelchair spaces are on the TOP (back) row and the BOTTOM (front) row.
That's because everywhere else requires walking up/down stairs.

We used the dinner plan in 2001. Figuring we didn't need to hurry over, we got there and realized that the reserved area for the diners had been taken (people moving the ropes). We did manage to find seats, but I figured, why bother with the dinner. It was H&V. The next time, we just got there about a half hour early and had great seats. There are lots of wheel chair seating spots and they are all along the top as has been said before. The advantage to those is you are first out.

We went in January of last year (which is as crowded as September is). We got there about 20 minutes before Fantasmic started (kids wanted to use up their remaining RnR fastpass) and we were still able to get just left of center, half-way up seats for the 4 of us.

I would suggest that you get the ADR's you want (and eat when you want!) and just arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the show. I would not suggest doing this on an EMH evening, though, because that tends to bring people into the park toward the end of the day...and while they're there, they'll watch Fantasmic.

I'm going to try to do Fantasmic without the package this year too. We did H&V last year, but we want to do PrimeTime this year with some newbies that will be with us. We will be there in September also.

I have never done the package and never had trouble getting seats. The view from anywhere in the theater is good. Check to see if there is a second show any nights of your trip. That is less crowded.

Thanks for all the info. I think I'm going to cancel the dinner package and try to get an ADR at Sci Fi or 50's Prime Time.
