If you've done it, was it worth the price? DD can't have gluten so I think most of the foods would be off-limits to her.

To me it is worth it to have a reserved seat and to be away from the mad crushes of people. The box has an assortment of sweets, crackers, fruit and cheeses..maybe vacation planning can make up a box of items your DD can eat? It is expensive, but very worth it IMO.

DH and I did this in July and really liked it. We would definitely do it again. It was sooooo nice to sit on a chair and see the show.

It was kind of a bad night for Fantasmic and fireworks the night we were there. No Flotsam and Jetsom, no dragon yet, and Dumbo and Tink did NOT fly that night. But, we had nothing to compare it to, since DH and I had never even seen Fantasmic before.

We liked the show and liked not having to camp out and wait with all of the other people on the walkway. I would have been VERY tired of sitting on the concrete and trying to keep our space. With only 2 of us it would have been hard to keep people from invading our space. I know people don't usually mean to be rude, but it could have felt really crowded really fast. Since both of us get a little claustrophobic it could have been a real mess for us.

I would recommend it. And I would do it again. And I would check with the people that you call to make reservations with if they could do a special gluten free box for you. They make other things gluten free - I don't see why they couldn't do this for you at that price.

We did it once and loved it so we booked it again when we go in oct.

I think it is pricey as well but to stand there and wait in the crowds sucks.

If you have the spare money I would book it.

When I did this in June on first night of summer nightastic, it was well worth it. I spent around 1 1/2 hours in line for that show and got front row seats. It was a mad house that night for the first show, people spent around 1pm to get front row seats that night.

It is pricey, but it does come with the dessert box and we did not even finish it, so we took one back to our room for a late night snack.

When I go to dlp, i always get a spot for f! @ 9pm, i always get there around 2+ hours for the show, but i always come prepared with entertainment for those hours. People always try to squeeze in the last seconds before the show. But groups should have plan better and get someone in the party to set up a spot for the group to see the show.

I would do this again in the near future, but i like my method of see f!

I totally agree about getting in line early to get your seats. I know it is a contradiction to wait in line to get a seat as opposed to staking out a spot. But as the pp said, some people have no regard for the space being held for a family when only one person is there. I made the mistake on our first PS for F! and showed up about 45 minutes before and got 3rd row seats. Still not bad, we were able to see clearly. But this time, I will get in line early and let DH take DD on some rides while I wait. It's good to take a little breather anyway!

I have a Fantasmic seating related question and thought I could add it in here instead of starting a new thread. Sorry for the hijacking!

My twins both have CP and will be in a double stroller for our trip(because we didn't want to pack DD's walker and DS's customized stroller). We will be obtaining a Guest Assistance Pass so that we can utilize the handicap entrances and seating for shows..

My question is, does anyone have any experience with the handicap seating area for Fantasmic? How early would we have to line up for it? Would it be as bad as for 'regular' seating?

DH and I did the dessert package last Saturday for the 10:30 show. We arrived about 7:40 to make our seating choice and sat in the second row. For us, it wasn't worth spending an hour in line to sit in the front row, but it was definitely worth the cost to not have to fight the crowds. Being from NY, I don't think we'll be back to DL any time soon, and this made for a wonderful finale for our trip.

The one problem we did have was trying to get to the fireworks after the first showing of Fantasmic ended. We made the mistake of going on a ride after making our seating reservation, and then couldn't find anywhere to stand for the fireworks. We ended up walking slowly through the aisles and watching while we walked, with the CMs screaming at everyone to keep moving. Had I realized it would be so crowded on what was a pretty empty park day, we would have staked out a spot earlier.

I was thinking about doing this in Jan. so I would love some clarification too.

You pay extra for a seat and dessert box, but then you have to stand in line to get that seat? That doesn't sound very appealing to me. Maybe I don't understand the F situation at DLR because at WDW there are lots of seats and you just get in line and sit down.

Why is this a good idea? Is it really hard to find a viewing spot or something. I don't mind spending a little extra money if it's worth it, but I don't like the idea of spending the money and still standing in line for 1-2 hours.

1) The accessible seating area which is to the right side of the river if you are facing the island. With your GAC card you can have access to this area . I think it's the person with the GAC card plus 5(?) others. So - with your twins, I suppose in theory that would be with 10 people. There are no actual seats here. Strollers, wheelchairs, standing. It's a side view of the island.

2) Arrive a little early and claim a spot along the back of the front and center seating only area. In the very back row of that area (just in front of the rope) you are able to have strollers and wheelchairs/ECVs. All other people in your group must sit on the ground with everyone else (right next to / in front of your twins in their strollers).

3) Find a spot front row in the standing area, placing the strollers in front. However, your twins will not have the best view because of the railing.

4) Priority seating area: $59/adult (10+), $49/child 3-9

If it were me, I'd pick the seating area, along the back row.
