No, there is not. I have done it twice at Mama Melrose. It is interesting to see how the "suggested" tip is calculated. They subtract out what they consider to be the price of the preferred seating, and calculate it based on the remainder. Not sure if all of the participating restaurants do that...

I wasn't able to reserve the package at 60 days but was on the fence on whether or not it is worth it when we could wait in line and receive our dvc discount on the meal if purchased seperately

My best advice is always try to figure out what you might order, and figure out the price with the 10% discount. Is the difference between that amount and the price of the package at whichever restaurant you are looking at worth the convenience of skipping that long line? For me at MM, the difference between discounted food and package price is under $5, so the answer is yes for me.

SciFi did it that way when we were there in late January. I think the calculated "entertainment" price was $12 per person, and the tip was figured on the difference.

We just did it and our meal was a late breakfast at hollywood and vine. To me it was totally worth it. The whole middle section of the amphitheater is reserved for the dining package. There was plenty of seating available in the area and we didnt get there super early, maybe 30 mins prior to the early show.
We will definitely do it anytime we plan to go to fantasmic.
