Fantasmic or Illuminations?

We've always seen the Magic Kingdom fireworks on every trip...largely because the kids have been young and that's where they wanted to be! But on this trip, it's time for something new. If you could only choose one or the other, would you take the family to Fantasmic or Illuminations? (Kids are now 9 and 15)

Illuminations is my all time favorite and more of a true fireworks show than Fantasmic.Fantasmic is more of a show with some fireworks,maybe young kids might prefer Fantasmic for that reason.Fantasmic is also longer at 30 minutes versus 13 minutes for Illuminations.The music of Illuminations is in my opinion one of the best in Disney.

Illuminations is our ultimate favorite. As PP said, the music is the BEST! In fact, we had to buy the CD and I listen to it when I am missing Disney. Illuminations is simply magical with the images on the globe with the fireworks, lights and music all combined. I do enjoy Fantasmic as well, but the first time I saw Illuminations it brought tears to my eyes.

Fantasmic is great and highly recommended. If you have to *choose*, though, I would say Illuminations. The best fireworks show on Disney property, imho.
