Has anybody noticed the American's little error in Fantasmic. In the scene (Pochahontas {spelling?}) where the Captain says "I claim this land...., they are flying the Union Flag upside down (also, I don't think we had the full Union Flag at that time).

Being a smart (ahem!) rear ended person I went and told them. They told me they would ensure it was corrected immediately. I'd be interested if they do. Keep those sharp eyes open. :thumbsup2

Blimey Richard, i thought i was the only person that picked up on that sort of thing! the amount of times ive seen the flag upside down.. i blame this all on my dad, he was in the army and would point out if the flag was the right way or not..sadly its rubbed off on me!!

The last change (adding the cross saltire of St Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, a diagonal red cross on a white ground). was made on 1 January 1801

It may of course be deliberate to insult the British

My goodness you all have sharp eyes!!!

Normally reserved for Hollywood that sort of thing.

..and of course, they had to rotate the cross of St Patrick 45 degrees to differentiate it from the cross of St George. :thumbsup2

we're going next month - and we always check the the Union Flag is flying the right way up (DH always points out it is only called a Union Jack when it is flyin from the jack staff on a ship) - so we will keep a look out!!

Richard - I take it you don't have teenagers ........ or if you do I bet they woudn't speak to you for the rest of the day/holiday. :rotfl2: As you might guess, I do, and my teens would be absolutely mortified to think that Dad would make a fuss about anything like that (which I seem to have done too often for their comfort :rolleyes1 ). But hey - that's what Dads are for. :cool1: Keep up the good work. :thumbsup2

DD is 13. We saw Fantasmic twice. First on the H & V dining package when I first noticed it. I thought "maybe just a mistake", but I pointed it out to DW and DD. Secondly we just walked in, and there it was again.

DD was insistant that I informed Disney about it. :thumbsup2
