Is it worth booking this for Fantasmic during May??
When we visited WDW in Oct Fantasmic was always packed, people were queeing for 90 mins to get a seat which does nt sound too appealing to me:sad2: .
I ve read that during some months Fantasmic is less congested, i dont want to book this if its not necessary so was just wondering peoples opinions

We have previously booked the package on our last several trips despite the pretty high price tag. It was most pleasant to go in through Oscar's and meander to our reserved seats.

However, the booking CM (and of course the DIS boards) let us know that you can no longer enter the back way and would be required to fight the throngs just to show your reserved seating ticket. We decided it wasn't worth the extra money and will book our own dinner and take our chances on seeing Fantasmic.

It really depends on you and how many nights the week you are going that the show is on. They've cut back the number of shows during a week. We always get it and it has always been filled to capacity. I know you no longer get the "special entrance" but we will still use it (we really don't mind the seats being off to the right--we get out quicker). We always do the package at Mama Melrose (we don't think Derby is worth two credits and you couldn't pay us to eat at H&V ever again).

We re going to be staying in WDW for 20 nights for our wedding/honeymoon.
Am really undecided now on whether we should do this, does anyone know if May is usually really busy in the parks?

The package is worth it if you don't mind dinning early. The prices at Hollywood & Vine were the normal prices and the fixed price menu at Hollywood Brown Derby was actually a bit of discount when compared to ordering a la carte. The only downside to the program is the seating times are all very early 4:00 - 5:30ish. So if you want to eat later it may not be for you. For us eating an hour or two earlier than normal is worth it for the reserved seating area, it is like an insurance policy.

Just avoid Hollywood & Vine and you should be OK.

There is no extra cost if you are on the dining plan. And if you are on the dining plan you get an appetizer for the Fantasmic Package which you DO NOT get with the dining plan at your other table service meals (Mama Melrose & Hollywood & Vine are one credit, Brown Derby is two).
