Fantasmic Dinner Package or not

I will be going to WDW the first week in December. Do I need the dining package or not? I made my ADR for the package this morning, but I'm not sure I really need it.

Opinions?

Hi,

I have done it both ways ... and if you get to the theater at least an hour prior to the show you will get a seat. There really is not a bad seat in the house.

However, if you are like me and want something guaranteed ... go for the package. I ate at the Brown Derby and LOVE that restaurant. Get the Mulacatani Soup!

I do not know about December I am gioing the first week
From what I understand the crowds are low.......so you may not need it.
BUT I lways say that it is a good idea as you get a discount... so even if you do not go see Fantasmic you are getting a good deal...

You do not need the package in order to enjoy Fantasmic! The time of year that you are going is usually not terribly busy for one thing. For another, the seats that are reserved for those with the package aren't all that great either. You can do better by just arriving at the theater at least 1/2 hour - 1 hour before the show. While there isn't a "bad" seat in the theater, I like being down front and in the center. JMHO but I think the package isn't worth it.

I've only been to Fantasmic once, and I did not have the ADR. We were still able to get really really good seats (although I don't think there are really bad seats in that stadium...), and it was a pretty busy time in March. If the ONLY reason you're getting the ADR is for the seats, you could probably do without, especially in December. If it's a restaurant you're interested in anyway, why not get the bonus of decent seats, too?
