Has anyone recently done the fantasmic dining package? I heard the seats for fantasmic were to the right of the stage but then I thought I heard that they were recently changed. Has anyone done it recently? Do you know what section you were seated in? Thanks in advance for any/all input - Anna

Dining Package guests are seated in the two center sections of the amphitheater - the best seats!

FDP is totally worth it. We do Mama Melrose and since it's a table service anyway we schedule it as a FDP. Definitely recommend since the seats are in the middle and you can actually wait till 30 minutes before show time and still sit in great seats.

Thanks for the input. I booked the FDP at Mama Melrose already and just wanted to double check. My kids are small and waiting online for an hour or
More would be really difficult. I suspect they are too young and I will end up having to leave with them but my parents are making a lot of sacrifices for us this trip since out kids are so young. I want to make sure they can enjoy it.

If you do the Fantasmic package do you still have to wait in line? If not when should you arrive? I have 515 Star Wars dinner setup in May and for $4 extra got the package. Will we have time to walk around after dinner before the 9pm show?

If not

2- when should you arrive?

1- Not as such, but the walk to the theater (after entering the Fantasmic! gate) is very long one (and up hill,) regardless.

2- I'd go to the F! gate no later than 30-40 minutes before show-time.
Earlier, if you want to be able to choose WHERE in the reserved area you
want to sit.

3- You'll have between, say, 6:45 and 8:15PM, give or take.

So if we get to park at RD in morning and run around for a few hours catch parade then bolt after lunch for a nap we could probably squeeze in a few FP+s after dinner before the show.

Depends on the crowd-level at DHS and which attractions you choose.

Star Tours, Toy Story and Tower of Terror are only attractions we would FP+ as the aerosmith ride the kids are too small. Tower of Terror might be too intense for them but we shall see.

The ride itself is intense but not extreme, but by the time younger kids get through the creepy intro and the dark/spooky music/ghosts atmosphere they are already so freaked out that the ride just sends them over the edge. Maybe if you talk to them and explain that it's meant to be scary but it's really just pretend and it's perfectly safe they'll stay calm and enjoy the ride. The ride itself is easier than RnR.

We did the Dining Package in Oct. We arrived at 30 minutes prior and got the upper area of the reserved section (which is just where we wanted). Stand by still had a line, Dining line was empty, the section was probably 2/3 full. They were still turning SB people away from the reserved sections at that time.

How young are your children? Weather permitting, they often do little things to keep people entertained while waiting for Fantasmic to start. They will have the crowds singing songs, will have a song play, stop it, and then have someone finish the lyrics, tell jokes, and other things. This usually starts about 30 minutes before the show. Depending on their age, this might be enough to keep them entertained.
