Has anyone done the Fantasmic Dessert Package? Is it worth the money? I have one friend who tells me yes and another who tells me no. I'd love to hear from all of you and what you think! Thanks!!

I've heard they made changes. There used to be a buffet but now they give you a box of treats. Also, seats are not assigned. Youhave to check in early and claim your seat and then come back before show time. I think it is expensive for what you get. But that's me/ Many people think it is so worth it!

I LOVED it!!!! We went a few years ago and felt like royalty! When we lined up before we went up the stairs, alot of people tryed to get in because I think there was so many seats...very few people when we went. The view was fantastic and we sat near the corner front but not sure how people seen in the back. My ds was sleeping and I was able to keep him in the room that no one could enter from downstairs and it was so perfect that he didnt even wake up....was to small and scared to really enjoy the show but had a great late night nap. We had taped it and it was great...no heads to look over and close enough that we didnt have to be on top of the water. My dd loved looking down and seeing the people and waved to everyone. The desserts were great, we had the buffet style desserts. We never had a good seat for the show so it was worth our money. It was my dd birthday trip so everything was first class or nothing but I still recommend it to people who are going to DL.

I wish the seats were assigned. We reserved months in advance and still got the same treatment as if you reserved the week before.

We've done it a couple of times, and to be honest with you I really don,t think it's worth the money. Unless you get the first row, the seating is rather cramped. The only positive last time was that we got to stay seated for the fireworks, which was nice since you didn't have to move. The next night I was walking from Splash and found a great location to watch the 10:30 show without much trouble.

IMO, it depends on when you are going. If you are going to be there during busy/crowded times, then I would say go for it. If you are there during low season, I would probably pass on it.

riverside has been boxed for years. the balcony was a buffet but the balcony is no longer an option.

it's also not a good spot for the fireworks in my opinion which is where you'll have to be if you attend the first showing. remember.. should be seen at least once from main street.

Any positive experiences lately? I've gotten this for March 25, which is probably going to be a pretty busy time to go. 7 of us, so I thought it would be fun to have a place to sit and watch away from the crowds.

Now I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake!

Well I decided to take the plunge. We'll be there the beginning of April and I'm assuming it's going to be crowded so I'm hoping it's worth it. After talking to Disney, the dessert buffet on the balcony is no longer and option because that is where the Walt Disney Dream Suite is located. So, we'll be getting dessert boxes and seating is riverside. I think it will be fun.

DoOverDreams....let me know how you like it when you get back!!!

We loved it. Very nice snacks, nice views waterfront, had the buffet (Sept 06), stayed for the fireworks which was OK, but much rather see them in front of the castle.
To me, the price was worth it just for a place to sit after a long day.
