We will be staying for a week at Pop. I am very nervous about how my DD2 will do since this will be her first time sleeping anywhere but home or grandparents. My biggest concern is that she HAS to have a fan to sleep. She likes the noise not the breeze. She will wake up the second I turn the fan off. Does any one have any suggestions - Can I ask the front desk if they have one available. We will be flying so packing one is not an option. HELP!!!
I am the same way. I use a very large floor fan at home, not really convenient to drag that to a hotel. I bought a "sound machine" a while ago, it has a white noise feature that does the trick..Except when it runs out of batteries, which it did, Sept 21 while we were at PC. I couldn't sleep all night-literally-even had a coctail, but every noise woke me up. We even went to
MNSSHP, and people were still making noise into the night. I swear the people around the back of us left their children and went to PI, because I heard young children giggling and laughing at about 3:00 a.m.-no adult voices at all!! Anyway, I went to the gift shop and bought batteries the next day-worth every penny of the $6.00 price tag

.
I also have a small portable fan that I have used. And also the fan in the bathrooms work well. except they are on a timer, so you wake up when it turns off.
Just curious to the fan club.. Does anyone have tinninitus(sp) I do, and my Ear doctor says a lot of people with it can't sleep without a fan to combat the ringing in their ears. I thought that was interesting. My DH doesn't have it, he can sllep with or without the fan. Same with my kids, but they can sleep through anything.
While we're on the subject, why is it that people feel they can walk past a hotel door in the middle of the night and laugh and yell and carry on or even speak in a loud voice. I am totally aware that people are sleeping, am I the only one who uses their "inside" voice outside a hotel room??? I once had someone yell to another person directly in front of my door at 2:00am. I opened the door and said, "HEY!" and the guy said "sorry" and looked surprised?? Idiot..
