Family's First Trip to WDW. SAD NEWS AGAIN!!!

I know it's bad when I ran into it I didn't see no one replied went to lunch and a meeting at work come back and see more than 10 pages are filled already wow. Both agree and disagree with the action I do not know what is going to happen I do know that what has been started can continue if you pm or something outside of Dis.

That TOTALLY sucks. I am only on page 2 now. I won't ever be able to buy one at full price and make it really worth it.

I have decided to buy a camera. I would want it to be SLR what do you have? What would be a better brand Sony, Nikon or Cannon? What kind of accesories would I need extra?

I have a canon rebel XTi. I am thinking I will be upgrading to a 50d though.
I would say go with Nikon or Canon. SLR's can be costly though. Once you get the body, you still need lenses. Typically if you get one with as lens, those lenses aren't the greatest. At least for the Rebel. I almost never use the one I got with my camera and wish I bought the body only and bought better lenses right away. A really good lens can cost mega money. I don't have any of those. LOL!

Ok well I went to Walmart and bought my mom Billy Banks Tae Bo Amped. She loves it she tried it with my sister and oh let me tell you not even 5 minutes passed and they where feeling the burn. I am glad the process has started. :cool1:

Finally decided where to eat.

Chef Mickey breakfast
Cinderella's Gala Feast 1900 Park Fare Dinner
Donald's Safari Breakfast
Garden Grill either Lunch or Dinner
Ohana for dinner

and Tony's Town Square if there is enough time and space.

My question is how does it work with the Dining Plan?

I would like to know how many Table servings it will be or how do we need to pay for this.

With the dining plan you get 1 table service, 1 counter service and 1 snack per person per night you stay. So if you stay 3 nights you get 3 of each per person in your room. I think the cost is just under $40 a day per person, but for us it worked out very good and we always made out. (kids are $10 a day)

GREAT CHOICES!!!!!!!!!

I take it you decided to stay on property because you are thinking about the dining plan?

Ooh, I've always wanted to eat at Chef Mickey's for breakfast! Ohana looks really cool, too.

Ok Yes we decided to stay in property and rent a car for a day or two. March 13 - 20 or 21 not sure when we coming back. We will be leaving on my b-day :cool1: if my dad goes he wants to go to the beach I know the closest one is about 1hr and half away :scared1: so renting a car for a day or two will be ok.

I think I will get the Disney Dining Plan Plus Dining:

1 Table-Service meal including entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage or one full buffet
1 Quick Serve meal of either a complete Combo Meal or one entree with one dessert (Lunch or Dinner) or one juice (Breakfast)
1 Snack choice of a frozen novelty ice cream, popsicle or fruit bar, single serving grab bag of Frito Lay's chips, one 20 oz. bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dansani Water, single piece of whole fruit, medium fountain soft drink or apple juice

We will be ther 6 or 7 full days :woohoo: This will be our longest Vacation ever well our first vacation together too.

Now All of these restaurants are 1 TS or 1 CS or will I have to pay extra or separated?

Your ADRs look great! The 1900 PF dinner is sooo fun, the characters are amazing. Ohana is delicious and Chef Mickey's is like the classic Disney meal!:goodvibes I haven't eaten at the other 2 though.

It's so sweet of you to be saving up to take your whole family to Disney. They're so lucky to have you!

Hey fellow Texan!
I just read you PTR and am excited that your family is totally on board with going! It took a while to convince my hubby that we really need to go to Disney and that it's not just for little kids! So now he's excited to go, he just won't know what hit him until we get there! :cool1:
It seems like the planning is coming together well! Have you picked out a few hotels? We're staying at the Boardwalk Villas (super excited! ) and we rented from a DVC member (seems much cheaper!). So let me know if you have any questions (not that I'm a total expert or anything :rolleyes1 ). Good luck with your plans!

Hi Amanda,
What part of Texas are you from? I live in Houston I am excited they are going with my plan too it took me forever to convince them but I think I finally did unless they change their mind at the last minute :scared1:. Well I am looking into the All Star movie or Pop Century or maybe DVC Rental I really don't know yet because I wanted to look for prices for March but I don't think I can until Dec. so for now I am just trying to figure things out any help you can give me are welcomed. I am not that Experienced:sad2: Thanks for everything.

Right now any tips on each park, counter service restaurants or any tips on anything are helpful. Thanks everyone for everything. The morning did not start very well it is raining and it is very flooded in my area it took me 1 hr and a half to get to work but I feel so much better seeing that I have friends in Dis that are helping me :grouphug: Thanks

Hey! I currently live in Plano (north of Dallas) but I'm originally from the Dallas area. What part of Houston do you live in? I've been there tons of times to visit friends and to go the renaissance faire there!
The prices for the 2010 season should be available. The best bet would probably be to check out the DVC Planning site (I attached the link). You can always ask people questions about renting, cost, etc. That's what I did and it was pretty easy. Most DVC resorts have either a studio (sleeps 4), a 1-bedroom (sleeps 4-5) or 2-bedroom (sleeps 8?). I've spent hours on the DIS boards :surfweb: and I swear I learn something new every time! :lmao:
If I can help out in any way, please let me know! We're going in August, so I'll be sure to let you know about restaurants, rides, shows, etc when we get back! Good luck!!

I am in the Southwest Fondren and Bissonnet. I have gone to Dallas only once and stayed in the Downtown Hotel I was there for a competion of Deca in high school. I would like to go visit again. I feel like I missed so much. Thanks I went to the link and posted a new thread. Hopefully I will get info there thanks for all your help.
