Day 1 – Arrival

On a plane at 6:00a.m. in Timmins. Changing of planes in Toronto went well. After in the air for a little while a man about 4 rows up began having chest pains or something. A Dr., the stewardesses, a fireman (friend of mine) and a couple of other people helped out and made sure the man was OK. But, we had to stop in North Carolina so that he could go to a hospital. This ended up making our arrival about 1 hr. late. No biggie, we had plenty of time until our PS at Chef Mickeys.
Since we were late I was a little concerned about our ride. We were using Yourride for the first time ever. When we arrived at the baggage claim area there was no one there with my name. I sent my father to the pay phones while I ran to the washroom. When I returned Dad was just starting to talk to someone and Bryan (from Yourride) was walking in. The van was great, nice and big and clean and they had a great car seat for Ty. Stopped at a grocery store for snacks and juice for the 2 little ones, Dad also got beer and wine.
Check in was quick, they were training a new CM, he wanted me to bring my AP back to show them once I had it. (I hadn’t bought it yet) Our rooms were ready, we were staying in 0314 and 0315 on the back side of Touchdown bldg 7, third floor. Unpacked quickly (used Ziploc for me and the kids, so it was easy) and went for a quick swim. After a quick swim it was time to get dressed and walk over to ASM to pick up friends of ours for dinner. It was their first time at WDW, so we figured we would escort them there. (Spyke, Paulina, and DS Owen 5 and DD Andrea 3) Took a bus to MK then monorail to CR for dinner at CM’s. Only had to wait about 10 min, then were seated all together (10 of us). Everyone loved the food, especially the parmesan mashed potatoes, and the character interaction was great.
Back to ASSp and early to bed.

Day – 2

Got to MK at a couple of minutes after 9. Headed straight to the Barber shop Ty was getting 1st haircut and Liam wanted to get a buzz too. Ty’s went well and he got the Mickey ears and certificate too. Liam got a brush cut as always, they also put green hair gel in the top and drew a Mickey face with it at the back. It looked so good. The only problem was that it mad him so itchy we had to wash his hair in a restroom sink about 1½ hours later. Did Buzz, the Raceway and Space Mtn. (2x). Then it was time for lunch. (We had been moving pretty slow) Lunch at Cosmic Rays, good chicken fingers, huge Caesar salad, the kids liked the entertainment.
Now Liam wanted to do Splash Mtn., so I ran over and got a FP. (Good thing, it was down at that moment) We worked our way over there, doing IASW, SW, Dumbo. Finally did SM and Big Thunder Railway. Now off to P of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise.
We had an early PS at Tony’s. Dinner was OK, not as good as I remembered from last time and a whole lot more expensive. When we got here yesterday Mom wanted to come here twice this trip, but after this meal she changed her mind.
Back to ASSp for a swim and bed time.

Day – 3

Epcot. Rode the big golf ball (as Liam calls it). Went to get a FP for TT. Don’t remember order we did anything, but we did Cranium Command, TT, The Land, Universe of Energy. Lunch at Pure & Simple in the Wonders of Life. Ate hot dogs, Turkey wrap, Chili and Fruit and cheese, all good. Then we lost my parents when they went to sit down and get Ty to take a nap. (they had their radio turned off and didn’t know it) Wandered around looking for them and not doing much for a couple of hours. Liam and Bill did HISTA, and it rained quite a bit. Finally found them and it was almost time for our PS at Teppanyaki. This was our first meal here and we loved the atmosphere and the food. The beef tenderloin and the scallops were both to die for, the chicken was a little dry and the rest was really good. Walked ½ of the World Showcase (the Canada side) and then watched Illuminations. Back to ASSp for bed.

Day – 4

MGM. Was raining in the morning, but not too hard so we set off, quite late. Did T of T and RnRC quickly. Tried Playhouse Disney and Animation Tour, but it was a long while till the next shows. (I hadn’t checked) Getting hungry now so went over to Pizza Planet to keep the kids happy. It stopped raining while we were eating lunch. Hooray. Then we did Muppets, and Backstage. As we were walking past WWTBAM there was a show to begin in 10 min. Mom and the kids stayed outside and me, Bill and Dad went in. We did not do too well, too slow I guess. Mom got picked as the total stranger outside. When they were telling the audience what they were doing I said to Bill, “Please don’t let it be Mom”, and it was. Well, she got the answer right and got a button for it. Then we did Indiana Jones and a snack at the ABC Commissary, (slowest place ever, and we were just getting beer and cheesecake). Got outside in time to see the parade before our PS at H & V.
H & V was excellent, everyone was pleased, got our ticket for the Fantasmic package and headed over to ride T of T and RnRC, both were very quick. It was our first time to see Fantasmic and we all enjoyed it very much.

Day – 5

Blizzard Beach. Got going a little later than I wanted, but still got a chair in the Tikes Peak area for Mom and Ty. Good day, a little hot and crowded, but lots of fun. Me, Bill, Dad, Liam and Ty rode the family raft ride. Bill and Dad said Ty looked terrified, but he did not cry. When we got off he kept pointing at the rafts and saying “back, boat, back boat.” I guess he wasn’t too scared afterall.
We went back to ASSp for Ty to take a quick nap before our PS at ‘Ohana. Then it was Bus to MK and Monorail to Poly to arrive just in time. The meal here was excellent, I cannot stress that enough. The pork tenderloin was the best I have ever tasted, and the other meats were awesome. Mom and Dad decide to go to PI and went down to take the bus. Me, Bill and kids went to catch monorail. As we get on there is a baby who just stopped breathing and the mom is hysterical. Bill is a volunteer firefighter so well trained, and I have worked with infants at a hospital, so we helped, there was no one else there yet. Finally, with the help of everyone, the baby was breathing. They had called an ambulance so that family got off the monorail to wait for it and we went on our way. My kids just sat there on the monorail watching all of this happen. The little angels knew that the baby needed Mommy more than they did at that time. Back to ASSp for bed time.

I will try to get to the rest on Monday, but my notes got less frequent as the trip went on, so there may not be much more.

Hi - great report!

How were your rooms at All Stars?- did you feel you had enough room and how was the housekeeping?

I have heard a few mediocre reviews for Tony's at MK - it seems they need to do something about that place!!

Looking forward to reading the rest soon :D

>>^..^<<

Thank God you were there for that baby!! How scary!

Great report, can't wait to read more.

The rooms were good. Quiet since they were on the third floor at the back, close to the food court and also quite close to the second pool and laundry room, which were never as crowded. Housekeeping was good. They left towel swans one day.
We felt we had enough room, but then again we had the connecting room with my parents to go to when we put the kids down.
