Le Cellier was a restaurant that I was not at all worried about. I knew that it might not live up to the hype, but it would still be good.
I told my family that this was the hardest restaurant to get into right after The Castle for breakfast. I'm not sure if that's true, but they were impressed with my reservation making ability nonetheless.
It was hard to get a reservation though. The only reservations they had for six people was 4:20 or 8:50. This was when I was making my reservations about 183 days before our arrival. This was going to be an early night for us and we don't like to eat that late anyway, so I took the 4:20. I called back a few times over the next few months but they never had anything later than 4:20.
We arrive at 4:00 for our 4:20 reservations. We were told we would not be seated until at least our reservation time, but we’re seated after five minutes.
Drinks!
Chocolate shake for Mary
Glow-Tini for Lynn
Appetizers
Lynn- Seared Rare Tuna -
Served with watercress salad, house-made cracker, and wasabi foam. She really liked this, the cracker and foam were really good as was the tuna
Dad- Beef and Barley Soup - Rich beef broth and fresh veggies. He thought this was really good. He like that there was a lot of good beef and not to much barley.
Mike & Myself- Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup -
Made with Moosehead Beer and smoked bacon. Oh the hype of this soup. It was one of those things I had heard to much about that I was scared it couldn’t live up to the hype. My brother was excited because of all the good reviews about too. (He likes food porn too!
)Thankfully it was good. It was creamy and cheesy and tasted to good with the pretzel bread.
Mary ordered shrimp
This shrimp was very good with a generous amount of shrimp. My mom & Lynn both really liked the salad that was under the shrimp.
My mom had Mixed Field Greens - Served with crumbled bleu cheese and pecan shallot vinaigrette. She said it was good, but not as good as the similar salad at Mama Melrose the night before
The bread sticks were so good. We loved everyone of them and our server even offered to bring us a second serving (of course we took her up on it)
Entrée
Me, mom, Mary- 7 oz Filet Mignon -
Glazed with maple BBQ sauce and accompanied by cream cheese mashed potatoes. Mary & I got it with out the BBQ. My mom was surprised at how much she like a BBQ sauce on her steak. I ordered it medium-rare and it came out pink, just how I wanted it. The cream cheese mashed potatoes were delicious. I was to full to finish all of them but I wanted to.
Mike- 14 oz New York Strip Steak -
Served with balsamic red onions, watercress, and roasted Yukon potatoes finished with veal demi-glace He said the steak was “worth every penny”
Dad- Herb Crusted Prime Rib - Served with Roasted Yukon potatoes, finished with veal demi-glace. As usually his comment on this food was “good”
Lynn- Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - Baby portobella wild mushroom risotto with white truffle and herb butter sauce topped with fried parsnips. She loved every part of it. She said it was “really really good”
Dessert
Me- Creme Brulee Sampler - Maple creme brulee with carmelized sugar, and Cinnamon whipped cream vanilla creme brulee with carmelized sugar and Vanilla whipped cream. The vanilla was very good, the Maple was good, but much to sweet and I was only able to eat two or three bites.
I didn't take a photo of this
Mary –Campfire S’mores- it was good, but she said it was really frozen so it was hard to eat
Dad- chocolate chocolate cake not surpiingly his comment about the cake was “good”
Mom, Lynn, & Mike all had the Chocolate “Moose” What a hit! My mom thought it was both “cool looking and tasty” and it was her favorite dessert of the trip. When asked later that night how she felt about it Lynn responded “I want more right now” and Mike said it was “quite tasty”

It was a fantastic value on the
DDP. The cost for our food with out the plan including tax & tip would have been $300
When we came out of Le Cellier it was drizzling.
By the time we got back to Future World it was a downpour!
Up next, the food court for lunch at Caribbean Beach and Raglan Road for dinner.
