Family, Friends, & Celebrities- A MAGICAL Birthday TR!!! *UPDATE*8/27! Final thoughts

Tim- Question regarding naps.

Did Julianna take naps during the week?

We are heading for our first visit with the GD in Sept. She will be 4.9 years old.

Awesome pics from the game! Nothing like enjoying an ice cold beer at a baseball game! :thumbsup2 I've only been in the inside part at WWoS when I competed there for Nationals in tumbling YEARS ago. I bet that lawn seating would have been great if you had the kids.

Haha, you 4 look like party animals!
Nothing like an ice cold $3 beer! ;)

The lawn seating would of been key if we had the kids... maybe we will take them next time.

Party animals... nahhhh. :sad2: :lmao:

Born and raised in Maine, my friend. :thumbsup2 I was obsessed with baseball as a pre-teen and teenager. Watched every single Red Sox game of the season. Collected baseball cards. Stalked a certain baseball player. :rolleyes1 I was living in Australia when we finally won the World Series. One of the happiest days of my life. :goodvibes

But, then I kind of fell out of love with baseball and football is my new favorite. I used to get annoyed with people who said baseball was slow and boring. And then I started really getting into football and now I get it. :rotfl:

These days I live and breathe football, the Patriots, and Tom Brady and Wes Welker. I also have played fantasy football the past two seasons. pirate:
I'm a Yankees & football Giants fan. I cannot stand Bill Belichik. I don't mind the Celtics though. I'm basically at the dividing line between Yankees & Red Sox fans. We are able to get along.

Hey! You're up. Ain't it kinda late there?? Working on your update??

I am really enjoying your TR. I really like reading how the little ones did as we are taking a 2 year old for the first time this July. We have been many times but first for taking one so small. I only hope he decides to warm up to the characters as well as Alex did, as of right now he hates all people dressed up in costumes. Glad you all had such a nice trip so far.
:welcome:
Hello!!

We took Juliana to WDW when she was 2 and we had no problem. She was fine around the characters.. it was the face characters that intimidated her a bit. I think each kid will be different and you can't force them to like them. It took Piglet to break Alex out of his shell. Wonder what character will break your 2yr old out of his shell? :scratchin ;)

HEY! :wave2:

How are ya!

Juliana was taking a nap every other day before we left for our trip. Once we were on vacation, she didn't nap at all. I see kids sleeping in strollers all over the park, but Ana is just too excited to nap. I think in all of our trips she has only fallen asleep in the stroller (during the day- not walking out of the park at the end of the day) only 1 time- 2 years ago. :lmao:

Tim, thanks for the great pics of the stadium. I have never gone to WWoS and it looks like a Field of Dreams. Nothing is like a Spring Training game. True baseball fans, the players are more relaxed, and it signals the end of winter. When DD heads off to college two years from now, maybe I will be sipping a PBR basking in the sun and watching a game.

Sorry to hear Mel felt ill and the hot tub saga.
LOL.... are there any teams near you in Miami? You can take a spring training tour and end up in Disney. I might have to fly down and join ya!

Thanks.. more on the illness and hot tubs in the next update!

Tim- Great update!! I have never seen pics of that before!! I love it. I wish there was a game when we would be there but I would doubt anything is going on first week in Feb! I had to call the hubby over to see the picture of $3.00 16 oz PBR!! (he loves his PBR) and we just went to Fenway the other night and the beers are $8.00 for a bud light!:scared1:

As a SAHM, i feel i need to say, i think the girls got a bad deal!!!! You had the whole day and show up at bedtime and then the girls go out ... no fair!!!:rotfl:

Which is.....?????popcorn::
I figured you would know but I'll tell you anyway:

A hot tub is a large home-made or manufactured tub or small pool full of heated water and used for soaking, relaxation, massage, or hydrotherapy. In most cases, they have jets for massage purposes. Hot tubs are usually located outdoors, and are often sheltered for protection from the elements, as well as for privacy. Other variants in naming include "SPA", and the trade name "Jacuzzi". These variants can be used to mean an indoor fixture, but a "Hot Tub" is almost always outdoors.

;);)

I think the games usually start the last week of Feb-the first week of March. So I think you will miss them. You'll just have to schedule another trip to Disney to catch a game. Fort Myers is about a 3 hour drive... or just wait till the Sox come to play the Braves!

$8 for a beer.. Thats a deal! The beers at Yankee Stadium are $9.50 now. Ever wonder why people are drinking in the parking lot?

We were back to the house around 4:15, cooked them dinner, then got the kids off to bed. The girls left about 7:30. They were happy & we were happy.

(You are right.. we did get the better deal:thumbsup2) :lmao:

Sorry it took me so long to come here. But life's been crazy and wrong lately.

Lucky you- Fenway Park doesnt have a parking lot... just bars with expensive beers! Ok, now that you put it that way I see the girls didnt get that bad of a deal... too bad your wife wasnt feeling well!!

I agree, I did like to see the pics of the WWoS. It was nice. I must admit I am not much of a sports fan but I end up watching sports center with Shawn (DH) at times and a few games here and there.

Someone always gets sick or has some kind of ailment when we go on vacation. It never fails. :sad2: We end up taking all sorts of medications and other items with us to prepare for the sickness.

Thanks for the baby yeti pics!!! :)

I've only been to Fenway once.. I need to get back there. We spent about 5 hours checking out the 'scenery' around the park. ;)

The girls had fun... Mel would of had more fun if she was feeling better. From the pics I've seen from that night, I think she did alright! :goodvibes

Ahhhh you don't have to be a sports fan to sit out, have a beer, and watch a game. ;)

Mel pack a small pharmacy when we go away. Nothing in her arsenal or what she bought was helping her. :sad2:

Thanks for the baby yeti pics!!! :)
No prob! :thumbsup2

I love that little guy too. :goodvibes

I guess my earlier post got lost in cyberspace. It was a couple of replies to the Animal Kingdom update. Something about why do 4 yr olds wake up at 6 regardless of time zones? Why do 4 yr olds like to make the "mean face"? Oh, and how MJ looked right at home in AK! ;)

Now Timmy, could you please make sure ur report is family friendly, Cayley loves Juliana and is always "reading" along....

Actually, the kids are used to the those non-anatomically correct dolls. It's the adults that get weirded out by it.

Loved the update, Tim! Sorry to hear that Mel got sick. :( Looking forward to hearing about Juliana's big day!!

I looked back and I didn't see your post either. Welcome home!!!!

I cannot wait to read all about your trip!!!! I'm sure it was amazing! :wizard:

Your kids were up at 6am 3 time zones away? :scared1::scared1:

Juliana has a little temper on her- although she only does it for show now. I hope this 'temper' doesn't turn out to be 'real'.. or we will all be in trouble! :lmao::lmao:

There are pics of MJ that have been censored- they are family friendly now! :rotfl:

Mel was going downhill- fast! :scared:

I have the pics uploaded.. just have to write the update. I think the 1st part will be mostly pictures though. :upsidedow:upsidedow
