Family, Friends, & Celebrities- A MAGICAL Birthday TR!!! *UPDATE*8/27! Final thoughts

Can I see the pic of you and your DW 'breaking down' IE crying at the dinner table. :lmao::lmao:

You must of had a great view of MK from that room!

Score on your DD wanting to go back to WDW!!

LOL Thanks!!! I'm not sure if I have any more pics like that. :confused3

What dates are you going in December (i assume it is Dec:confused3)?

Dec 18th thru the 26th. Hubby did not want to do Christmas with his whole family again-who am I to argue? :rolleyes1

Well....doesn't that look like fun???:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Gotta' love Spring Training:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

By the way, my son loves his little Yeti snowball....we used it as his pillow in the stroller....not intentionally of course, but he had it one second...was asleep on it the the next:rotfl2:

Really, REALLY great update!! I've NEVER seen pictures of the WWoS, so THANKS for showing me something new at Disney! What an amazingly clean and beautiful stadium!! So Disney, and yet fully funcitonal. Believe it or not, even the advertising banners were very classy and well done! :thumbsup2

I love a good baseball game. Not sure I'd take time out of a Disney trip to do it myself, but from what I see, Disney puts on a class act.

Looks to me like the girls had more than just Grey Goosies, Branda's concoction changed color halfway through..... ;)

Glad you all had some fun time out. You all needed a break from the kids, I"m sure.

After waking up (does 6:40 sound familiar?)
Hey! You slept in 10 minutes! :thumbsup2
We went through the safety talk and were out on the Seven Seas Lagoon. We only wanted to rent the Searaycers for 30 minutes so we headed over to Bay Lake. It was neat to see all the hotels and be able to see MK from the lake. I wished the boats would of went faster, but I understand why they don't. I think the kids would have really liked riding them with us. Maybe next time.
A few trips ago I took the kids out on one. Unfortunatley, we were at Downtown Disney, so the scenery wasn't as good. I remember going about 1/2 throttle coming out of the dock. As soon as I cleared the pier, I asked Madison if she was ready for me to gun it. She white-knucked her grip and said "OK". I pushed the stick all to way forward and we maybe sped up 1/2 mph! :rotfl2::rotfl:

There was a lot of action in the first few innings then it started slowing down. People kept talking to Dave & I about the fact that he had a Mets shirt on and I had a Yankees shirt on. LOL The sun was beating down on us.. man was it hot! It did feel really good though. :)

The game was tied in the 9th and we decided to head back to the house. I mean it was only spring training.

6th inning special- $3 16oz PBRs!!!

PBR me ASAP!

I remember when Anheuser-Busch was sold - Pabst immediately announced that they were now the largest American owned brewer. This despite the fact that they don't actually brew any beer - the contract with Miller to brew it all for them. :confused3

Nice update, Tim. Thanks for the pictures of the WWoS complex--one of those spots on property I've never, ever seen before. The stadium looks great! One of these years, I'm going to have to try and get to a spring training game. You've settled it.

I gotta tell you, though...being a Philly fan, I'm not as enamored with the pictures showing all these ugly Yankees, Mets and Braves logos. :crazy2:

Okay Tim. I'll try not to hold it against you that you're a Yankees fan. ;) How cool to see a spring training game! I really wanted to try and catch a Sox game while we were down there, but it didn't happen.

Glad that the guys and girls got some time away. :thumbsup2 Too bad Mel was getting sick though. :(

So, even after they supposedly fixed the hot tub, it's still not getting hot???

We arrived at the Poly and headed straight over to the marina. We didn't have a lot of time to waste. We went through the safety talk and were out on the Seven Seas Lagoon. We only wanted to rent the Searaycers for 30 minutes so we headed over to Bay Lake. It was neat to see all the hotels and be able to see MK from the lake.

They are very cool! I love getting boats and hanging out on the water. We did so from the CR this past trip, and really enjoyed both Bay Lake & Seven Seas Lagoon.

GREAT pics of WWoS. I've only been there once before, and sadly :scared1: have no pics from that day. Nice to see it again. I'd love to get to a game there myself.

NICE shirt Tim! I love it. It would go great with my Yankees hat. Perhaps you caught (or perhaps you didn't) the other matching item sitting on my bookshelf... I've liked the Yankees since I was a kid.

You two look so cute ;), the way Dave is tilting in towards you... :rotfl:

Looks like you both knew the drill so well...regardless of whether it was a PhotoPass person or not - "squeeze in closer together". :lmao:

PBRs!!! YUCK> LOL!
I'm a bud light girl
MJ, looks to be a little topsy that night.
I laughed at the pic of you and Dave at the end together, I'm assuming out front. You look like a couple. :rotfl2:

IF we go in Dec, it wil lbe sometime around the 10,since that is Claire's b-day. probably a day or 2 before maybe. I want to go a week, but we'll have to see. I'm jsut being patient right now and waiting for deals, then I'll put the pressure on DH.

I think MJ got a little out of control. He's so little, he can't hold his liquor. Who carried him up to bed?
LOL He stays where he falls!!!!! MJ doesn't get babied!!! He is a 'BIG' boy! :lmao:

Dec 18th thru the 26th. Hubby did not want to do Christmas with his whole family again-who am I to argue? :rolleyes1
AWESOME!! I think we will be in WDW from December 1-7 or 8th depending on what MAW tells us.

Sounds like you will have a great trip with less family.

Well....doesn't that look like fun???:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

The game was a great time. I'm so glad we did it! Last year the Yankees played the Braves and I wanted to go... I just couldn't fit it into our schedule.

Your son is a smart kid. :thumbsup2 That Yeti is so soft, I'd use it for a pillow too! :cloud9:

The stadium and the whole complex was so clean. I mean I would of eaten off the floor. (not really.. but you get the point;))

I love a good baseball game. Not sure I'd take time out of a Disney trip to do it myself, but from what I see, Disney puts on a class act.
I understand. It was perfect for us to relax and recharge our batteries.

Looks to me like the girls had more than just Grey Goosies, Branda's concoction changed color halfway through..... ;)
You are right. I didn't even notice that!

Glad you all had some fun time out. You all needed a break from the kids, I"m sure.
It was a great day. :)

SOX as in... *gulp* Red Sox? :sad2:

Glad that the guys and girls got some time away. :thumbsup2 Too bad Mel was getting sick though. :(
The sickness gets worse. :scared:

So, even after they supposedly fixed the hot tub, it's still not getting hot???
Nope. No heat. Very sad.:sad1:

Hey! You slept in 10 minutes! :thumbsup2
I guess I could be happy for that. :confused3

SO you know what I mean. I guess that is why there is only a 7hp motor on there. The more weight, the slower you go. BTW, did Madison like it? I think the kids would have loved it.. even with it going 'slow'

Don't rat me out... OK? Can I bribe you with a Dole Whip Float to keep you quiet?

PBR me ASAP!

I don't drink PBR on the regular but a $3 16oz wasn't to be passed up!

Funny story.. I never heard that before! :rotfl:

I will you that there are real fans that go to these games.. baseball lovers. We talked to a few people around us- Yankees, Tigers, Braves, Mets fans- and they were there to watch some baseball and enjoy themselves. One older guy was traveling to see all the Florida spring training games. It was a fun game.

I gotta tell you, though...being a Philly fan, I'm not as enamored with the pictures showing all these ugly Yankees, Mets and Braves logos. :crazy2:
Just put a sticky note on your computer screen to cover the pics! :surfweb: :hippie:

They are very cool! I love getting boats and hanging out on the water. We did so from the CR this past trip, and really enjoyed both Bay Lake & Seven Seas Lagoon.
I wouldn't of minded having my boat down there for a while. Did you do the searaycers or did you rent a pontoon?

GREAT pics of WWoS. I've only been there once before, and sadly :scared1: have no pics from that day. Nice to see it again. I'd love to get to a game there myself.
Thanks! You should check out a game... good times. :thumbsup2

NICE shirt Tim! I love it. It would go great with my Yankees hat. Perhaps you caught (or perhaps you didn't) the other matching item sitting on my bookshelf... I've liked the Yankees since I was a kid.
I didn't notice.. I'll have to go back and look. Now what page was that on again? :lmao:

You two look so cute ;), the way Dave is tilting in towards you... :rotfl:
AWWWW thanks!!!

Looks like you both knew the drill so well...regardless of whether it was a PhotoPass person or not - "squeeze in closer together". :lmao:
LOLOL All those photopass pics must have went to our heads!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Great update, Tim. I'm so sorry Mel wasn't feeling well...being sick on vacation is the worse thing.

Just a little FYI....Andy, our oldest son, has played AND coached on that field where you watched the spring training game. He played there as a 13-year old with his travel team and then coached his 13-year old travel team last year.

PBRs!!! YUCK> LOL!
I'm a bud light girl
MJ, looks to be a little topsy that night.
MJ can put 'em back.. let me tell ya!

I laughed at the pic of you and Dave at the end together, I'm assuming out front. You look like a couple. :rotfl2:
Thanks for pointing that out..... the sad thing is - we do look like a couple. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

IF we go in Dec, it wil lbe sometime around the 10,since that is Claire's b-day. probably a day or 2 before maybe. I want to go a week, but we'll have to see. I'm jsut being patient right now and waiting for deals, then I'll put the pressure on DH.
Got Cha! It is looking like we will be there December 1-7... i think? :confused3

Great update, Tim. I'm so sorry Mel wasn't feeling well...being sick on vacation is the worse thing.
Last trip is was Juliana, this trip it was Mel. More on the sickness to come.

Just a little FYI....Andy, our oldest son, has played AND coached on that field where you watched the spring training game. He played there as a 13-year old with his travel team and then coached his 13-year old travel team last year.
That is really cool! It is a beautiful stadium. It must of been neat for him to play there and then to coach there! :yay:

Awesome pics from the game! Nothing like enjoying an ice cold beer at a baseball game! :thumbsup2 I've only been in the inside part at WWoS when I competed there for Nationals in tumbling YEARS ago. I bet that lawn seating would have been great if you had the kids.

Haha, you 4 look like party animals!

I am really enjoying your TR. I really like reading how the little ones did as we are taking a 2 year old for the first time this July. We have been many times but first for taking one so small. I only hope he decides to warm up to the characters as well as Alex did, as of right now he hates all people dressed up in costumes. Glad you all had such a nice trip so far.

SOX as in... *gulp* Red Sox? :sad2:

Born and raised in Maine, my friend. :thumbsup2 I was obsessed with baseball as a pre-teen and teenager. Watched every single Red Sox game of the season. Collected baseball cards. Stalked a certain baseball player. :rolleyes1 I was living in Australia when we finally won the World Series. One of the happiest days of my life. :goodvibes

But, then I kind of fell out of love with baseball and football is my new favorite. I used to get annoyed with people who said baseball was slow and boring. And then I started really getting into football and now I get it. :rotfl:

These days I live and breathe football, the Patriots, and Tom Brady and Wes Welker. I also have played fantasy football the past two seasons. pirate:

Tim, thanks for the great pics of the stadium. I have never gone to WWoS and it looks like a Field of Dreams. Nothing is like a Spring Training game. True baseball fans, the players are more relaxed, and it signals the end of winter. When DD heads off to college two years from now, maybe I will be sipping a PBR basking in the sun and watching a game.

Sorry to hear Mel felt ill and the hot tub saga.
