does she buy NYC souvenirs or since she knows how much i love Bobby Flay she gets me an autographed Bobby Flay cookbook?
In my case since I live in Amish country I could send many different items. I have not thought about that month yet, but was planning for an Amish Country item(s). Is that what I am suppose to send?
If I was your SS, I would want egg noodles, apple butter, blueberry preserves, apron, pot holders, barn sign. Yup, a whole list of wonderful Amish things would certainly brighten up someone's Christmas.![]()
Throw in some sand dollars & sea shells all packaged up in a pretty bottle and you are good to go!!![]()
hehhe I could sent my SS thermometer and a big ole sun dial..lol.. We have lots here in Arizona though. Grand Canyon, Heat, Indian things. We even have the REAL London bridge here! and have I mentioned the HOT weather so maybe some suntan lotion. I am going to have to dig deep and see what I can find. Like AWM I want to make my final package all about my SS and make it really memorable for her.
Well, I've been thinking that my SS doesn't want a lot of stuff from my state either. So, I was planning on not sending any dust collectors (well, maybe just 1 or 2), but I was thinking about local recipes... a couple of pics... postcard... but nothing she will feel bad about throwing away...
So, how close is everyone really staying to the guidelines...are you following exactly or using as a general guide, with your own added "I think she would like this too"? Just curious...
AND I have to say "the one for my SS and one for me" shopping has been just too much fun!! I was at Mike's yesterday with my friend, and she was asking "Why are you buying 2 of everything"?![]()
We have lots of sand and cheesy tourist shops on A1A in Fort Lauderdale. Good shells are on the west coast but I think DBF and I are going over there one weekend so I'll be good to go
