I hope so!!!Yes!
Now that they've dealt with the Australian elephant in the room... who knows... If there is a new significant destination introduced or the potential of a new year-round homeport on the West Coast... we may have to wait until D23Is today the Day ??????
I'm sure someone in operations wants to wait on making a decision until they see how Erin sets up, you don't want to bog down the phone lines with new reservation calls when you're probably dealing with panicky customers calling about upcoming sailings.
Yup, we know. I was saying, mainly in responce to my earlier comment about 4 mins, because it had gone past 8am EST which is usually when they drop if they are going to.Only Disney Cruise Line knows.![]()
I think if they did one cruise in January 10-12 nights then it would sell. They don’t even need to do it every year.
I agree. My response was out of frustration that the itineraries have not been announced.Yup, we know. I was saying, mainly in responce to my earlier comment about 4 mins, because it had gone past 8am EST which is usually when they drop if they are going to.
Its personal, like everything though. We (also DINKs) have done Transatlantic and Vancover to Hawaii, both with low kid numbers and they were some of our favourite cruises (though this could be due to lower passenger count overall, or higher number of sea day, not just the lower number of kids. Maybe even a combo of all 3). We dont feel like they were missing anything at all.I'm not really sure it would sell. And honestly, it would be a little depressing because there would be so few kids on it. We did the DVC Member cruise in the Mediterranean, it only had double digits of kids on it. While the trip was great, it did feel like it had lost something. And we are DINKs. In addition to that, a lot of people use up all of their vacation time for the Holidays and no teachers nor Accountants could go during that period.
Kids onboard are the only thing that would keep me cruising Disney without my kids. I like the demographics on a Disney cruise. I think it's the factor the sets DCL apart. It's refreshing to see someone without kids recognizes that.I'm not really sure it would sell. And honestly, it would be a little depressing because there would be so few kids on it. We've done a lot one week cruises during the school year. There were always a lot of kids in the teen clubs. Parents will pull their kids out for a week. Two weeks is pushing it. That being said millions of kids these days are doing an alternative form of schooling wether it's homeschool or online.Yes, my observations are very similar to yours. When we chose to do Panama in 2022, we did so only because one of the two weeks was Spring Break... and the few teens that were on that cruise became really, really good friends.
I was thinking along the same line as to when a longer cruise could potentially work. Not a regular offering but something offered around known common school breaks or holidays - outside of Summer.
Depends on what kind of accountant you are. My oldest son does international tax - his busy datesI'm not really sure it would sell. For a lot of people it’s an advantage when there’s not so many kids on board. That’s been said many times already on this discussion board. Also DCL is investigating in adults only cruises, so it’ll be interesting if they will actually release those one day.I'm not really sure it would sell. My husband's vacation time resets with the new year.I'm not really sure it would sell. And honestly, it would be a little depressing because there would be so few kids on it. Our daughter would be SO jealous...she is lucky and happy with 15 cruises by 15!!!We are the same.We homeschool and both of our kids are Pearl. This is our daughter’s senior year in high school and it is going to be a huge change having to cruise around a school schedule starting next fall.
We’ve been lucky to have supportive schools when we take the kids out to travel. We are doing our 4th Panama Canal cruise with you!DH and I are pulling DS (9) from school for 2 full weeks in April for the Magic WBPC. We feel this is a more valuable life experience than what he'll learn in the classroom. His teacher agrees! We will get a letter about the absences, but oh well. We're late 40's and both of our fathers died in their early 50's. We're traveling NOW!![]()
