Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

So I blew $10 (had a deal). Lol. Now I know. Thanks for the heads up....next year I will not be a paid subscriber.

Ok I will admit I'm not the brightest bulb in the bunch, or nearly as computer savvy as most of you, but when I try to create a free account, it loops me to a page where I need to enter my credit card information. Can someone help me with what I'm doing incorrectly?

Also, can you bring a string of Christmas lights to hang in your room window? Thank you.

I know the feeling! I am going to start a list of qs and snacks that I want to try. I read lots of dis boards. Pinterest articles about secrets of Disney(most I know but sometimes I find a new one to add to a list) Check disneys site hoping to get 1 more day of free dining instead of the ro I have. I am obsessed. No one wants to talk to me about Disney at home and I am worried by the time I get there I will be disney-ed out......no that won't happen!
Your going to be there right before us. I just hope TSA has all those new trainees trained by the time we get to the airport.

Normally a free trial still requires a credit card. Then you just have to cancel before the membership expires. I think we are going to take some rope lights. They are led and cooler. They don't heat up.

Ok so where is everyone's favorite place to order vacation shirts from???
I go to the public. Like once a month they have all their shirts on sale for 14. You chose the design and hen shirt color. We are doing a stitch super hero theme one day.

o much, lol I couldn't figure out what i was doing incorrectly!

Great tip for the lights. That is the type our artificial tree has and we have LED lights for our window, so we can bring them!

Thanks again!

We always make at least 2 trips to Disney Springs. We go on arrival day to check things out and have dinner. Then we go back 2 days before we leave to buy souvenirs.
Same with us.....usually beginning and end of the trip and sometimes once in the middle depending on our length of trip.

I hope so! I booked a 5:30 flight so the kids don't have to miss another day of school since they are already missing 7. Worried I might be pushing it!
Never thought about lights! I know it's September but I may bring my orange Halloween lights!

Ok what do you consider a "good" flight price RT per person? We've only flown once as a family and that was when DS2 was still a lap infant. I'm struggling with flight prices over here!

I know it will vary a lot based on location and airline, etc. I have the sinking feeling when SW releases their prices they are going to be $$$ so I need to have plan B (and c and d) ready too. We have 3 airports within 3 hours of my house, but the cheapest is a huge major airport and would be a huge major pain to drive almost 3 hours away on travel days. I need to decide if it's worth an extra couple hundred total to fly out of our home airport, but not at ideal times.

We are flying sw for 184 rt. I looked at other airports and some flights were cheaper but didn't include luggage and I knew that would cost us more. Depending on the savings could you drive the 3 hours the day before and stay in a hotel for the night?

That is a great price for SW! The free bags are a huge perk and I'm hoping to use SW for that reason, but waiting for their schedule to be released on Thursday. I'd jump on that price too!

DH Wants to avoid adding another night at a hotel before vacation, but if we get a great deal it might be worth it. The cheapest Im getting is $218 RT on Delta out of the furthest airport. And we would have to check 2-3 bags too which adds to the cost.

Doesn't help we are flying the Saturday after thanksgiving lol

Thank you for this! Did not realize you did not need a paid account to use this. Created a search for an earlier ADR time that I've been trying to find with no luck. I'll report back if I get one using this!
This search tool through UT is great. I don't have a paid subscription but signed up for basic access, so I could use this feature and last night at 12:40 I hear my phone go off. Sure enough it was a reservation time that I was looking for. I grabbed it up quickly. It also found me a Chef Mickey's for the Friday night we head down. And the best part...it is FREE! I paid for this service last year since I had no idea UT did it for free. It goes to show you how much you can learn on these disboards.

I hope when they release you can get a good deal. I just kept checking and ended up with a credit because they did drop after I bought them. I did end up adding a day at Disney because it was cheaper to fly the night before. My DH and DD want to golf so the free bags were really important.

We will be lucky to fly for less than $300 RT per person from Des Moines on SW. Delta has some September flights for $230 RT so that is giving me hope that we might find something better.

We spent 350 RT from Phoenix. But we also have two checked bags and are flying red eye so we arrive at 5AM and check in and hit the parks running.

As of right now, the cheapest flight out of our little town airport of Peoria, IL is 365. That is not delta though, and we want to use our skymiles which will get us almost 2 free flights! The cheapest delta is 430rt. We could drive to Chicago or St. Louis, each 3 hours away like you mentioned, but then we have to get a hotel, pay to park and then drive 3 hours home the night we get back, all of which is unappealing. The cheapest one there is still only like 302. That's why we are stalking, since all common knowledge is that prices should drop between 4 months and 1 month out, that's supposed to be the sweet spot. We will consider ourselves lucky if we fly for les than 400rt, the flight we really like for times is 528, which I REFUSE to pay! I'll get the kids up at 3am for the 6am flight before I shell out that kind of money!

Since we're going in December, I've done some early looking. If we wanted to fly Spirit, which we don't, our flight would be $46 there, on 12/10 and $248 returning 12/17. Ouch! Hoping SW can give us some magic in August!!

Fly Spirit there, pay for the bags, still cheap and then look for another flight home. I've flow Spirit before. Their hours are insane.

Looked at AA and I can get $328 RT plus bag fee. We've flown Spirit before, but we may decide to do that, come August!

SW flies out of our local airport. About 7 miles away. Spirit and the rest fly from our Internationl airport. About 40 minutes away. So whatever we can get a good buy on is what we will do.

I'm trying to talk my daughter in to driving, lol.

How far away do you live? I'm in Arizona.
