Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

Never had to do a split stay before so don't know what to expect especially given that we hopefully will not even have to change rooms.

We will be staying at CBR in a standard for 5 nights and then I booked a split stay for the last (6th) night, still a standard room at CBR. So, as we will not be changing resorts or room types, anybody know what the process will be like? Assuming they will be able to keep us in the same room do I just call the front desk first thing in the morning and do check out/check in and we don't actually have to vacate the room? Do I need to go to the front desk to do it? Thanks for any insight as to how it works.

So excited to see this thread... I miss all my FD watcher buddies... Got what we wanted at 4 am free dining drop day after staying up all night... Sept.10-16th at POP.... Finally settled on ADRs (I think) haha..... Ohana, Coral Reef, Boma, Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine play n dine, and Garden grill... I hope everyone is doing well
We will be at PoP around that time.

My vans AC went out and hubby said if it's more than a couple hundred we might have to talk about pushing our trip back a few months. I said NO... If it's more than a few hundred I'll be hot this summer
:headache:
That sounds like me, lol. Our air conditioner for our house has been near the end of it's life for the last couple of years. I've already told everyone if it breaks this year and it's between fixing it and Disney, I pick Disney! Sweating is supposed to clear the toxins from your body, so the way I see it is, it would just be making everyone healthier.

I've heard that you can activate tickets up to ten days earlier then your package. You just need to remember that your tickets will expire 14 days from your first use.

Are you sure? Isn't that a work-around for people to start their packages before a promotional period?

Exactly! lol our AC upstairs is out too and we are getting that fixed this week sometime... So hopefully my kids will be grateful to be cool at home? They don't know about Disney so they may not be as excited about not fixing the van!

If they're cool at home, the excitement of Disney may get them through the ride down! Then, after being in parks, the van may not seem too bad on the way home!! But here's hoping for an inexpensive fix, so y'all will be comfortable!!!!

We were planning on taking stuff in our carry on. I'm gonna keep checking to see if I can get free dining for that whole period just to make my life easier. The cm did link the stays together so it shows as on trip or something. I'm wondering if I do have to change rooms if they can just keep my bags til the next day instead of magic express delivering to my room that night.

I wish I could surprise the kids with a trip but I just get too excited and my oldest usually figures somethings up! My DS9 loves to help look at the crowd calendars and figure out where we are going everyday and I think he loves this more than a surprise. Maybe one time we'll clue him in and let him help us surprise the younger 2.:)

I want to add a day but DH says 7 days at Disney is enough... I say 30 days wouldn't be enough... If you see an excited wife, two crazy excited preschool girls, and a tired hubby... you have found us haha
We will be two excited adults and one kinda dragging adult. We arrive on Friday 9th and leave Sat 17th.

Yay! Sounds like great ADR choices!!!! :flower1:

Wow, all of a sudden there is much less available during my dates at AoA. Are other resorts getting more booked up? I had been waffling a bit over adding a day but it looks like Disney may have decided that for me.
