Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

Are you sure? Isn't that a work-around for people to start their packages before a promotional period?
I've never done it, I just know that others have done it from reading these boards. You used to be able to activate your package tickets three days before your package began, now it's up to ten days early. I believe they need to be activated by Guest Services outside which ever park you want to head to. You can ask at your resort, but they may say no, you can't do that. I personally don't find the people working at the resorts very knowledgeable about tickets. Guest services is the way to go. The one disadvantage is that you can't book fp's for those early days until you go there and activate them.

I activated our tickets a day early when we went last September. We did it at guest services outside Epcot. My only regret is that we didn't get there until pretty late in the day so we only got about 3-4 rides done and that was it. :(

My vans AC went out and hubby said if it's more than a couple hundred we might have to talk about pushing our trip back a few months. I said NO... If it's more than a few hundred I'll be hot this summer
:headache:

See? Priorities!
Sorry about the a/c, hope it just needs a tune-up! The brutal southern summers would be unbearable without a/c IMO.

I'm getting my hubby this shirt for our trip. It sounds like your hubby might need one too ;)

Um, this shirt kind of makes me want a husband...
Well let's be honest. I probably wouldn't marry a man who wasn't a little Disney crazy himself :rotfl:

If you want some really great prices on airfare then look at Allegiant air. They don't fly out of everywhere, but their prices are real low. You do have to pay extra for checked bags but the price is worth it. Some say it is good some say it is not so good.

They also fly into Sanford, so no Magical Express service. :(

After reading some of the articles lately and the shortcuts they take, I'll never fly with them....plus not into Orlando. Most of the times I can fly almost as cheap on regular airlines unless you happen to fall into one of those ridiculous low fares. I know from here in Maine, it's one plane going back and forth so often delays for sometimes many many hours. No other flights to be put on if something goes wrong. I know people use them and get some great fares, but the extra fees add up. I am flying round trip for$250 each for 5 of us from Bangor. One stop but land in Orlando so can use the ME.

We were planning on taking stuff in our carry on. I'm gonna keep checking to see if I can get free dining for that whole period just to make my life easier. The cm did link the stays together so it shows as on trip or something. I'm wondering if I do have to change rooms if they can just keep my bags til the next day instead of magic express delivering to my room that night.

You can definitely ask, especially since your luggage would get there very late that nt. anyway. I would think that they can hold it till morning.

Yes, you can do this, just not at the resort. We did it at Downtown Disney(now Disney Springs) since we arrived late in the day, and wanted to be ready to hit a park in the morning. But you can do it any guest relations at any park. This can also be used for people staying offsite with family for a few days before coming on site, but want to go to parks with them before they move onsite for a package, or people who want to do a split stay to try two resorts, and want a package with the DDP, but would have to buy tickets twice to have the DDP on both reservations, so they pay OOP for the first few days, then start their package at the 2nd resort, but want to the parks the whole week so need tickets activated.

Interesting, thank you. We're arriving on 11/15 and got FD. We're planning on going to MVMCP on the 15th, so I thought about trying to arrive at Disney a day early so we're not tired from travel at the party. Flights near our city to Orlando arrive at like 11am, so I'd be interested in going to the parks in the evening since it wouldn't be very expensive to add on a ticket day!

Is anyone having trouble signing on to there disney account? My is stating email or username does not match.

Nope, I was looking just to mess around and check availability for our dates (even though we have exactly what we want....I just have a problem!) and it kept telling me they had to duck out with the Donald pic. Frustrating! How can I feed my irrational need to check FD availability of your don't cooperate, DISNEY?!?

Some people were just guessing (hoping?) that it's them getting the MNSSHP special event tickets ready to go! I have no idea if there's any truth to that, but I might as well spread the rumor, right?

So as usual I have yet another question. I've always made dining reservations online or by calling. But, today I created a MDE account.

With this account can you add several reservations at once, then check out, or do you still have to do them individually? TIA!!

You still have to do them individually.

Is it easier to make your reservations by calling? I've always done them online but seeing posts in other threads that state you have a better chance of availability by calling, is that true?
