Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

Ugh... Were waiting on the AP discount as well. I would love for it to come out at the end of this month, but I've been told by 3 different CM's when I've called to expect mid September. I don't know who to believe anymore!!! Come on discounts we need you!

I feel like the GP discounts for room only will be released first. Not much love for us AP holders lately. POFQ is my resort of choice and there have been no discounts there for awhile except for free dining. Let's face it--free dining is Disney's fave discount. Us AP'ers only get the leftovers.

I currently have a room discount at POFQ for Oct 27th-Nov 4th with a room only bounce back deal I booked when I was there last Nov/Dec. However, I am hoping for an AP discount that might beat it.

I also had the same 30% off bounceback deal booked for POFQ for Sept 1st-8th, but switched that one to AKL when the current AP discount came out. The current AP discount did not include POFQ for my dates, so I'm not holding out hope that the next one will either. I'll have to either keep the bounceback deal I've got or switch resorts. I have no interest in free dining.

I spoke to a CM a few minutes ago and he said they AP discount should be out by the end of the month. My friend wants to go for two days so FD won't work for her.

That's the second CM today to report that. The other one said AP and Fl Resident will be out soon. still a chance they're wrong, of course. But I'm inclined to believe this one.

Back before they started the online system for making ADRs and during that time when you could make ADRs just 90 days out, I remember one trip, when I had to get up early down there to call and make ADRs for my next trip. My husband thought I was crazy.

I tried to get the bounce back discount for POFQ when I was last there in April. Not available for ANY dates!! When did POFQ get so popular???

I was in Tusker House on Easter morning and I had to run to the bathroom and make a Pirate League reservation for my dd5 for her surprise trip in October. She was chasing me around saying Who are you talking to and I was running away from her My DH was laughing at me and my MIL thought I was nuts!

My AP Discount We went down for Marathon Weekend I had called for something else and mentioned having an AP and they were the ones that checked for me.

I ended up doing the math on FD vs even my AAA discount and it was the same either way, I would just then have the headache of figuring out what to do with the 2 day tickets since we have ap's. I decided to stay with my 10% and hope for something better.

We are in the same boat. You can use those 2 day tickets towards purchasing APs next year but for us it would cost us just over $500 for the 2 day tickets, that's a chunk of change to fork over now for something I will not use until a year from now. When they bumped it up to a 2 day ticket as the minimum, it really made it harder to justify. I talked to a CM last week and she said that she expected the next set of discounts at the end of the month. We will see

I have the airfare already paid for (got a FANTASTIC rate, and it's twice that right now), but I'm waiting to see if there are any room discounts before I book! How long do you think I can wait? I can't book before Monday anyway, so I can live with this. I've only been watching for Mousesavers or Allears emails to come -- I'm going to sub to this thread because it seems like you guys are really on top of things!

As always, take the rumors for what it's worth.

You could just wait until something comes out and then book according to discount availability. Or you could book something that you're willing to take rack rate, and change it if something comes later. Either would be a solid plan based on your preferences.

We are still going reguardless.. Its for my daughter's 8th Birthday. I look at it this way.... I pay rack and if I get an AP discount its an added bonus and more spending money. We are staying Oct 9-11 at AoA LM section then moving to POR Royal Rooms. My friend is meeting me for the POR section with her dd so we are splitting that which helps me

I'm really looking for Nov AP rates to come out so I can book that trip. My dh and I are flying in on Nov 11th and staying somewhere for one night then heading to the Gulf for a couple nights then on the 15th for our Anniversary we are going back to DW for one night. It depends on the AP rate on which resort I choose..

Yes, we're planning to go regardless -- I'm assuming we'll stay at Pop (where I've stayed before) unless a discount for one of the All-Stars makes a huge difference. I'm waiting for AP rates -- it doesn't look like that week is hugely busy, so I could wait another couple of weeks to book if I have to! And then if nothing comes up, I'll just take Pop at rack rate (which isn't too bad, but I'd sure like to pay less).

I love Pop! The bus doesn't stop at any other resort (like with the All-Stars) and the food court is better. But when it comes to discounts, frequently the discount for the All-Stars will be MUCH better than for Pop (25% all-stars, 5% Pop usually). I've stayed at Pop 3 times before, and really like the resort, but right now, cheaper is better (but the $5 or $10 difference in the rack rate won't kill me). I may just do what you suggest -- make a reservation and apply the discount if and when it comes out.

Ok since we are all just waiting around...please give me a little advice. Right now I have AoA LM booked for 2 nights before we move to SSR. My oldest daughter is a HUGE LM fan plus the resort looks fun, great food court too. I am ok paying the rate I have, $105 & $120 for Friday night. I doubt the LM rooms will be included--heck I'd take 5% discount! If there is no discount, which All-Star would you choose? Also, do you think a discount for POR would be the same I'm paying rack rate at AoA? My girls would be thrilled with a princess room at POR? I'd like a back up if no discounts are given for LM rooms.

The stress of waiting for AP discounts and booking BOG restaurant is killing me!
