Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

We need those AP discounts for December for our wedding/honeymoon trip! We are staying at GF and AKL... What are the typical December AP discounts for those resorts?

Not sure about AKL, but we got 40% off last December, the week before Christmas, at GF. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I know historically, AP rates were released for the fall around now, but the 2 years before they weren't released until August So I wish the rates would come out this very second, but I'm not that concerned yet

I really hope they will let us apply the discount if the release it late. That would be very unfair if they didn't

This is seriously nuts! I don't consider August 15 exactly "fall" rates! We are going on a general discount but since we are at the BC, even a 5% drop makes a big difference!

I'm waiting too! The GP discounts out now thru Sept are pretty poor. I think 30% only some deluxe resorts AP is usually 5% more, so I'm thinking the Deluxe will only be 35%. Very disappointing since past years at this time AP has been 40%

Don't discounts usually come out on Mondays? So maybe next Monday? ugh, I hate this waiting game. Come on Disney. This is cruel and unusual treatment.

I guess I'm bored or I need to do something while we keep waiting, but I just spent some time looking at the availability of rooms under the current GP room only discount for the dates of our upcoming trip (9/25-9/30).

I was only looking at the Deluxe category, but there are plenty of room types available and every resort is available. There were only club level rooms available at the CR and there weren't any standard view rooms at the Beach Club, but every other room type.

I am encouraged that there are so many rooms still available under the GP discount and still hoping for an even better AP discount.

It seems like 2012 is a whole new ballgame lol due to my own paranoia i've been glued to the "historical discount" page at mousesavers trying to figure out the rhyme or reason for code releases, haha! I thought I had it when in 2009, 2010, and 2011 Late august was consistently released the last Thursday of June!! Now I'm more focused on the trends of 2012 because it is very different. The trend i'm looking at now is that AP discounts are released about a month and a week before the start date of the promotion. That would be next Monday!

I'm still holding out hope for tomorrow-thursday, but I don't know what I am going to do if next week comes and goes without the codes. I guess I'll have to book a room only on the GP discount and forget the DDP.

Every morning I just feel like the person in charge of this is on vacation, it is so frustrating!

Waiting as patiently as possible for late October AP discounts. Last year, those weren't released until August, so I might have a bit more waiting than most fall planners. Hopefully some sort of discount will be released any day now.

I hear you. I'm lucky in that I found a good rate through an agency for the Yacht Club. I can live with what we're paying and be happy but to leave the discounts this long for late August travellers really does zero to make me want to invest in AP's again.

I just booked a last minute trip and will have an AP since we are returning for Christmas. My dates are Aug 14-21. I was able to get the AP discount for Aug 14. I was told by the CM to check back around July 13 for the next round of discounts. He said that is when it was expected. Hope this helps!

Woohoo Thanks for the scoop! I'm hoping to do better than the AAA discount.
