Fake names for Cast Members

When I was a CM and I forgot my name tag, I'd be Herbert or James...or Bette.. haha. I forgot my name tag frequently So when a guest called me by name I had no idea they were talking to me..

There are a few people at CRO that were allowed to use their real name because their real name wasn't being used at the time by someone else at CRO. Especially if their real first name - middle name could be used. But that is the exception more than the rule since most of them have fairly common names and need to be given a new name for work

I would love to have the job of giving CRO CM's their new name - how fun!

I know a lady that works for one of their call centers (dining reservations and the likes) and she has a 'cast' name.

When we were there in August, I was talking to a CM near the POTC. He was wearing a name tag that had a location on it, one of the old one (I really miss those). Anyway I commented on it and he laughed and said, no, he wasn't from that location and it wasn't even his real name. For some reason (he did tell me, but I forgot), he didn't have a name tag and he was told to reach in this box and pull one out so that he was wearing one. That struck me as interesting. Of course, he could have been pulling my leg, but he was on the quiet side and was very helpful.

Your CM was being absolutely truthful with you. More than once when I was a CM, I forgot my name tag, and was told to take any one out of the box. I always looked for one with a home town about which I knew something, so if I was asked, I wouldn't sound like a complete idiot.
