I've never had my resort pass checked at the resort monorail. That would just be a pain in the butt, if you ask me.

However unlikely, I'd prefer to think that over the inability to tell time. Remember, the OP stated that one person in the offending party said, "Let's go, we have fastpasses." They apparently DO understand the concepts of both FastPass and cheating.Kay1 said:Personally, I do feel bad for families who do the walk of shame from the FP entrances; it's possible they're not cheaters but simply don't the concept. In fact, I've seen people get a FP then go directly to the FP entrance. I really think it's a language problem.
You took that as a crack? I took it as musings/observations of a poster who's read the same quote several times in this thread.Kay1 said:I think cracks about another poster's grammactical skills are out of line.
Or, they DID understand FastPass and used the same ruse to gain immediate access to all the FastPass attractions...PRINCESSMOMX3 said:During the Labor Day weekend, I was waiting at the FP entrance for DH and DD so we could do a baby swap at BTMR. A group of 4 who barely spoke english got a FP and then immediately gave it to the CM at the FP line....seeing that they completely did not understand the concept he gave them FP that he had in hand and let them through. They were going to be very dissapointed at the next ride..........

Oh! I saw you! Your wife was the one who put her elbow in a small puddle of melted ice on the bar that the bartender hadn't wiped up, so you were, ahem, 'vocal' about her displeasure and she got all her drinks free, right, and they offered you a room at the GF?rejobako said:I highly recommend the GF's swimming pool. We stopped in there on our way back. My wife didn't have a bathing suit so she just had a cocktail by the pool bar, but I was wearing shorts, and nothing makes the long hot trip back to the parking lot easier than a quick detour for a swim.

Thanks to all of those guests in the FP who jeered and booed at me when Buzz shut down earlier this year. I am very claustrophic and was having difficulty breathing - a very kind and observant CM saw my distress, grabbed me by the hand and tried to clear a path to get me out into the fresh air.
Obviously many in the line thought that I was cutting into the FP line..... I did actually have a FP but only that CM tried to help, even when I asked the people behind me to step to the side so that I could leave...
The OPs post was pretty clear that those were FP queue jumpers, but that may not always be the .
Personally, your attitude disgusts me. It's this kind of milquetoast attitude that feels sorry for the offender that causes murders, rapists and child molesters get paroled before their debt to society has been paid.

OT: Not only that but, anyone who starts to make cracks about someone else's grammar has run out of useful things to say and has lost the argument.Kay1 said:I think cracks about another poster's grammactical skills are out of line.
OT: Jumping to conclusions is normally bad and it is reasonable to use "jumping to conclusions" itself as part of a criticism.bavaria said:I would also add be careful of jumping to conclusions.
I respectfully disagree.seashoreCM said:In a generic sense the CM who took your picture should not have put you through the fastpass line without fastpasses. That is like a cashier's slipping by an item from your shopping cart without ringing it up.

Don't feel sorry for the person breaking the rules set forth, feel sorry for the person that is getting the screw put to them because of the rule offender. Why do people misplace their sympathy?!?
Bavaria wins the "Well, I had this happen to me before because I have a legitimate disability, so it may have happened to all these other's" award.
Note. . .a disability usually notes that you are a rare exception, and when people blatently break the rules, it's usually not because of a disability. I get so fed up with people making a million excuses for people acting like pieces of crap. Sometimes a piece of crap is just a piece of crap and we should all be relieved when it gets shoveled into the manure pile.

1) There is satisfaction in seeing cheaters get what they deserve. This is not a lie.
2) So are 500 other families at the park.

Last year, my first time at Disneyland, on the day of the opening of the Jack-Skellington-decorated Haunted Mansion, the CM taking the tickets before entering the stretch room was NOT taking the tickets (new?). There were hundreds of people in line and once a bunch of teenagers caught on to that fact, groups of 20-30 teenagers began going beneath the ropes into the FastPass line (at a point past the original FastPass CM). I would say at least 150-200 people did this within 5-10 minutes. It was extremely frustrating, especially when families with little kids began doing this (presumably from frustration in watching the 100 teenagers pass them, but). FINALLY, the CM realized that 150 or so people wouldn't have returned for FastPass all at one time!!

Gosh, it would be incredibly frustrating if this became a problem at WDW![]()

Last December, just as we were about to enter the regular line for Jungle Cruise, I went to snap a quick photo of DH and DS in front of the big poster/ride sign at the entrance (we love this ride). The CM out front, who was checking people's fast passes befor allowing them to enter the FP queue, told me to give him my camera so I could be in the picture too -- a lovely gesture that we really appreciated. By the time this transpired, a whole truck-load (or so it seemed!) of people had gotten into the regular line. The CM said -- hey, it was my idea that held you up, so please be my guest in the FP line. We were hesitant but he insisted -- he said, just tell the CM collecting the FPs at the end that I told you to go through. We did it, but I was mortified -- especially at the point when I had to explain to the CM at the end why we were in the FP line without FPs. The CM was totally fine about it, but we felt very sheepish and I'm sure there were people who thought we were jerks who'd tried to pull a "fast" one.

We have been coming to WDW at least once a year since 1986 and stayed on site since the year CBR opened. We do remember needing to show our ID to get on the bus to get back to CBR. There was a time period when people were parking in the resort lots and then taking the buses to MK to save money on parking (especially after CBR and PO opened up). The 'show your resort ID' was to avoid people doing that and, believe me, we did need to show our ID or you did not get on the bus (I stood and waited enough times behind people who did not have it out and were not let on without it to know it was required and not just 'be ready').Robo said:I don't doubt that you might have run across this at times, but I have been riding the Disney buses since there WERE Disney buses, and have yet to need to show an ID, now or then.
I do remember back when it was SAID that you need to show one (and we were always "ready"), but we have never needed to do so.
BTW, Disney transportation is available to all guests, included with resort stays, and/or simply park admission tickets.
Robo said:FP was well-researched by Disney and the "loopholes" patched even before it was publicly announced.
katerkat said:No way! I was working there the summer it was implemented and they were patching loopholes as people found them. I remember one guy was sent to the park an hour before his family to gather FPs for everyone for every attraction it was available. Shortly afterward, only activated park passes (ie, people IN the park) could be used, and then the one-FP-at-a-time rule was started. Granted, I think they did a great job fixing up the loopholes as they appeared, but the system was nowhere near perfect when it started.
