Chibi The Fairy of Magnetism
Tux The Fairy of Testosterone
Malkin The Fairy of Timing
Jayuna The Fairy of Pin Trades

Its been quite a while since all the excitement and actually being in WDW, for the most part we've all been putting off typing up our trip report because of a lot of things. For those who read the Glitter PTR you know we're all costumers, May hits a very busy season for us. From May-October is our Conventions season with photoshoots and costuming events scattered in between. So two weekends after landing home was our home convention, Anime North....but more on that later perhaps.

For now... WELCOME TO OUR FIRST TIME TRIP REPORT!!! The Photopass arrived in the mail today and the hard drive with the photos is almost recovered, so while this is very much "in progress" I hope you enjoy what we do have! I know Malkin is hoping someone will show her how to do ''chapters'' I think I know how..we'll see.

So on with the trip report!!!

<3 Chibi!

Chapter 1: Pre-Glitter!
Chapter 2: Leaving Toronto!!
Chapter 3: Buffalo!
Chapter 4: WE HAVE TO GET UP AT WHAT TIME?!
Chapter 5: OMG FINALLY AT DISNEY
Chapter 6: Mischief Managed!

Quick reminder to those new: This account is shared by 5 people (whose introductions can be found in our PTR (so go check that out ;D) and each colour represents a different person, so when there's a bunch of colours in one post, don't worry, that's just multiple people talking XD Enjoy!!

So, I know I can speak for myself about the Disney addiction thing, I think once we had booked our trip the addiction spread to the other four of our group. I can't remember exactly when, but it was announced that The Lion King would be showing in Toronto on stage. I had NEVER seen it, and had tried to con the other four members of the Moonies 5 into going to see it with me. Getting Tux and Malkin to agree was easy, Megpie and Jayuna however...not so easy (Sadly, both of us being students money is often an issue DX). Eventually it was decided that we would use this as Megpie's birthday present, and selected the date to be May 6th, the night RIGHT before we would be heading to Buffalo to get on the plane for Florida. I'll have to have Malkin edit this post since I think she has all of the photos on her phone still.

So, to start the day off, poor Malkin was going crazy, (as was Jayuna since we kept reminding her every hour on the hour (We have a WhatsApp group on our phones and the title was changing by the hour!), and Tux and I didn't have work that day, so we headed down at our own pace, listening to Disney music the entire way to pick Malkin up from work. I think by the time we got her into the car she probably was willing to shoot someone (Malkin was the only one of the 5 who had to work that day, not fair :( ). From there we headed into the downtown to wait on Maki and to take a few photos out in front of the theatre and the billboards.

Chibi, Malkin and Tux waiting on Maki

Maki arrives! With tea! (but only for themselves :( )
We had to throw it out soon anyways since they didn't let it into the theatre and it being Timmy's tea, does not cool down fast enough XD

Jay: As for myself and Megpie, I had a spa morning with a nice lunch with my mother and grammy for mothers day since we were going to be gone by that point (though I did secretly buy my mom flowers and had them delivered to her on Mother's day itself =D) and met up with Megpie later and we saw the awesome THOR movie which came out together with Megpie's dad (who then awesomely drove us down to the Princess of Wales theatre afterward) and our friend Gilly. Movie was awesome, ps, and needless to say, neither of us got tired of watching Chris Hemsworth. Hubbahubba ;D

Once we met up with Maki we headed inside to find our seats. By the time we had agreed to buy the tickets it was hard to find 5 seats all together, but we ended up in the upper balcony, far to the right FRONT ROW. Not only was it a great view of the stage, and everything happening in the aisles below us, but one of the men with the bird kites was literally RIGHT beside us. I honestly have NO words that will do the show justice. The visuals, the music, its all just so fantastic!! The man who played Mufasa his voice was -perfect- and just sent shivers down my spine. I would highly recommend anyone who hasn't seen this to do so!

We had amazing views of all the animals that walk down the aisles during 'Circle of Life'. Was so cool!! One of my favourites was definitely the man who played Scar, he just did it so well! My one qualm with the show is that sometimes it gets to show-y and ridiculous (there's a 70s disco sort of dance number in the middle of 'Be Prepared' which is kinda hilarious and I love it XD) but it's all good fun. A definite must see if you ever get the chance!!

I was the last person before the asile, and didn't know about the guy with the bird till he started singing. It was cool. Tux

It was the perfect way to kick start our trip into the Magical World of Disney!!

(Okay Malkin make with the photos)

I must be psychic! I was just thinking "hmmm, a Moonies TR should be showing up soon..." and TA-DAAA! Here it is!

Glad to hear Lion King was awesome! I have never seen it, but would love to someday...
Can't wait to hear all about the trip!

We decided we wanted to wait on the Photopass photos because if we waited until I was done editing things down, or CON Season to end or anything else, that it would never get done and we're so excited to post!

Off to sub into yours now!

Also, I quit my job 2 days after getting home, Jayuna started her new job the day after getting home, Tux went back to work (though not so many hours), plus I staff at Anime North and all the fun stuff that goes along with prepping and actually attending that con, and now I've started my new job, Malkin just got back from Floriday again...lol we've been VERY busy XD

Been waiting for this one!!!

I can't wait to give our Beach Club part of the report! I stayed at a hotel on I-Drive this week for Work and couldn't stop myself from wishing I was at Beach Club instead (even if the hotel was nice and all)
Also Dis does not like two of us being on at the same time lol

Looking forward to hearing all about your trip!

The Lion King is a spectacular show! I saw it several years ago when I was a student in Boston. Glad you had a great view!

Glad to have you with us! =D
It truly was amazing!! I had seen it once before when it originally came to Toronto in its first-ish run with my family since its my little brothers favourite (I think back in 2004/2005?) and I had forgot how awesome it was! It was so cool to look down in the opening of the show and have a great view of all the animals going down the aisle. We lucked out with those seats for sure!

I too had seen it before. Last time I was away in the back and didn't have a good view though.

Forgot to add- My family saw Lion King in Boston, gosh, I think 7-8 years ago. My sons were 2 and 5. The show was amazing! My youngest slept through the 2nd act, but I think that was a good thing.

LOVE the song "Be Prepared!"

See you soon!

Excited to see you back! Looking forward to it :woohoo:

Welcome Home

Yay!! So excited you guys started your TR!

The Lion King sounds fabulous, hope to see it....someday

I can't wait to hear about your trip!:yay:

Yay! I've been looking forward to this since you guys finished your PTR.

I'll say something more intelligent at some point when I'm not in the middle of working. :rotfl:

Hey guys~! Glad to hear that so many of you guys are with us <3

Sorry for the lack of pictures in this one. Some should hopefully show up (I'm fairly certain Malkin has them, and she's off to LA for the weekend for a family event, soooo we'll see) but none sadly for right now =(

I think there might be some video but I'm not sure? I was kinda zoned out for a good part of this day lol

Anywho. So after the Lion King the night before, Tux drove us all down to Malkin's where we had the dinner of champions (aka pizza, omnomnom). After some random surfing on the TV, we decided to split ways for the night. Tux and Chibi were staying down in a room at Malkin's condo, and Megpie and I were headed back to her house, where we had to combine our suitcases.

We were woken up by a phone call from Malkin at about 8:30 the next morning, and were picked up by her and Tux at about 9:30. We were driven to the Dundas Street Grill, an awesome breakfast place across from Malkin's condo complex. Omnomnomnom bacon and eggs. (Megpie won in that she got the *bacon sandwich*, it was awesome)

Malkin and her Brother

Megpie doesn't do early.

How much tea it takes to wake the Moonies

Afterwards was something I personally had been dreading. Malkin had booked all of the girls a lower leg wax in preperation for the trip. Ow. Tux drove us down a bit early and we got green tea frappuchino's (omnomnom) at a nearby Starbucks. They ended up taking us in a bit early and needless to say, Ow, I don't want to do that again any time soon but in the end, it was maybe worth it to get it done and not have to worry about shaving for Disney XD

I will never understand you! You get bikini waxes which I think are much more painful!!

We walked over to where Tux had parked after and drove back to Malkin's. Me, Chibi and Megpie all went upstairs and hung around a bit with Malkin's brother and did some last minute checks and repacking while Tux and Malkin, along with Malkin's parents, went to go grab our rental car from Pearson Airport! So close to leaving omg! :woohoo:

It didn't take too long for them to come back (though ranting about how complicated and confusing Pearson is, which is absolutely true :P) with an awesome beige (of course) Chevy Malibu, and after a quick stop to Timmies to grab some munchies and tea/smoothies/ice cap for the road, we were off to Buffalo!! :cheer2:

I'M HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Anime North too! Can't wait to hear about your trip! I know exactly what you mean about conventions season.

I really wanted to go see the Lion King too, but was too late to get the tix.

Dundas Street Grill...I'll have to check that place out.

Ouch.....leg waxing.....I'm so lucky that I don't need to shave my legs.

Oh, are the green tea fraps at Starbucks good? I haven't tried them yet and weren't sure if I should.

Chibi, what are you in charge of at AN? I've been a panelist for....at least 5 ANs....

If you like Greentea Ice Cream you'll love the Green Tea frap! SO ADDICTIVE!! lol.

At AN? I'm the Friday Night Skit Contest Director as well as one of the Co-Ordinators (and MC) for the Cosplay Battle Chess on Saturday :D

Leg waxing... very brave! You are probably right. It's worth the pain so you don't have to shave at Disney. Saves time and effort!

I am so glad this has started. I can't wait to read all about your magical trip. We are at Disney right now. We are taking a break from the heat and since I was doing laundry, I thought I would catch up on the DIS.

Subbing! Can't wait to read your TR! I loved Lion King! I teared up quite a few times. It was so beautiful!

One year I will go to AN. Maybe next year will be it since ACen is at the end of April next year!

Hallo Everyone! =D

@reelmom and Lillian: Glad to have you with us again! =D Reelmom, so jealous that your at Disney, and I hope you're having a great time! :goodvibes

So contrary to Malkin's Dad estimating our time to Buffalo at about 3 hours, we got to Buffalo, or at least through the Border into the US after 45 minutes! Yay short lineup at the border crossing! We're not too sure how it was really that short (I live in Hamilton during the year for school and it takes me a good half an hour to get to Malkin's condo from there and The Queenston-Lewston bridge is definitely further than 20-ish minutes from Hamilton). We think some sort of Space-time continuum may have been involved, and possibly the TARDIS :P

OMG A DISNEY SIGN! >D

Making sure Chibi is okay over bridges, is the wonderful Scarf of Sexual Preference, aka Scarfy (from A Very Potter Sequel)

I don't like going over tall bridges over water ;_;

After some talk of us getting lost while driving around Buffalo trying to find the Walden Galleria, we eventually made it (probably by the long way around). Quick trips into the mall for Torrid and Victorias Secret, and last minute things were bought for the trip.

It was very quickly decided that dinner should probably happen sooner rather than later (at this point it was 5-6ish and the last real food was at 9am for breakfast... yea we do that sometimes >.>). We tried first at the Cheesecake Factory in the mall, but with a 2-2 and a half hour wait time for 5 people, it was quickly shot down. We then decided to go to the TGI Fridays we knew was by the hotel (Chibi, Malkin and Tux scouted the area in February). Took awhile to get there as we kept taking the wrong turns, but finally, food was in sight!

Yaaaay! Food!

After about a half an hour wait, in which time we had random fun outside (see below), we were in and fooooooooood!

Yea... we're fools =D

<3

Yay for first batch of food porn pictures! =D

So as you can see, most of us got Steaks, omnomnom. What you can't see here are the appetizers we got -> Me and Megpie split mozzarella sticks and flatbread, and... the others will have to come in with what they gotChibi and Malkin got French Onion Soup and Tux got....something that Tux would eat. I want to say it was breaded. That's all I've got though.. Oh, and yummy strawberry lemonade slushies!!

Mine! Steak with sweet potato fries and Yummy veggies.

Megpie's pasta!

Malkin and Tux's Steak and Brocolli (they both got the same thing so only one pic)

Chibi's Steak and double mashed potatoes!

Random other picture. Me, Chibi and Megpie all got our nails done before the trip. Mine was just glittery, Megpie's was Cheshire Cat, and Chibi's was meant to be blue Sleeping Beauty, but almost looked more like Cinderella XD

After dinner, was a quick stop at Barnes and Noble to grab plane books and moon over the pretty Nook touch, and we were off to the Roadway Inn!

Hotel kinda sketchy (took us awhile to even get the key card to open the door), but was good for what we needed. (The room is doubly sketchy because for some reason at least two of the times we've stayed here, I've slept in the same bed as Chibi and boxed her enough to leave a bruise. No where else and at no other time have I ever done that. The hotel clearly has a weird vibe, but it's cheap and close to the airport and worked perfectly for what we needed) We let Tux rest with his noise cancelling headphones we all pitched in to buy him for his birthday/Christmas, while we watched the Lady Gaga at Maddison Square Gardens concert on HBO (was frickin awesome!!) and later tried to get a small amount of sleep before the 3am wake up call would ring. OMG DISNEY IS TOMORROW!! :cheer2:

Megpie watching Gaga in the kinda sketchy room

Oh yea, and if you guys go back to our last post, some new pictures were finally added in if you wanted to check that out! ^^

Chibi, I remember when the Cosplay Chess was just an idea on the boards....ahh, it's come pretty far since then.

Sounds like a good start to your journey so far! I still haven't tried a TGIF. Can't believe your dad thought it would take 3 hours. It only takes about 1.5 hrs to get to the border from Toronto on an average day anyways.

Love your nails! It looks more like Cinderella to me too.

You guys look so happy together, I love it.

You guys are having so much fun and you aren't even in WDW yet! I love TGIF! Their broccoli cheddar soup is the best and the Pink Punk Cosmo is so DELISH!!! :cloud9:

Can't wait to read more!
