facebook target $10 GC with $50 purchase

Hmmm. :confused3 I promise I'm not questioning you :flower3: but the one I printed doesn't have the word Target gift card exclusion ~ meaning yours sounds better than mine! :rotfl2: The one I printed excludes gift cards, pretty much meaning all of them, not just Target.

Just curious what some other DISers had? I haven't used mine yet but I will tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Heather

It excludes a GiftCard which means Target gift cards not all others. The term GiftCard is Target's trademarked name for their gift card.

Maybe this is just a fluke, but when I went to Target this morning, I showed the cashier the coupon and asked if it would work if I purchased a $50 Target giftcard. She didn't know and called a supervisor who said she didn't know either but would try it. I picked out a giftcard, the supervisor scanned it and said it works, and I was given the $10 bonus giftcard. I had another coupon and did a second transaction same as the first and again received the $10 giftcard.

Hope this helps someone else.

Just had a good day at 2 Targets. Got $800 in Disney gift cards for $620 and I still have a $10 Target GC left over from the deal. It helps that I used to work there for 7 years and know cashiers to ring me up. This is what I did using my Target debit card which gives an extra 5% after they take away the value of the GC given.

$100 Disney GC - paid $96 - got 2 $10 Target GC
$100 Disney GC - paid $76 (used first 2 Target GC to pay and my debit card) - got 2 more Target GC and so on.
On my last 6 Disney cards, I did 5 in one transaction and got 5 $10 Target GC and then used those to buy one last $50 Disney GC and ended with a $10 Target GC.

The key is to roll the previous GC into the next transaction.

Interesting, the coupon specifically says "Free GiftCard not valid as payment on this purchase."

I used the free ones from the previous purchase on the next purchase, not on the same purchase where the GC were earned.

Wow!! That's awesome. :yay:

I figured that, but the way it was written, it could have been interpreted either way...that the free GC you get with this transaction couldn't be used to pay for it or that the free GC you earned with the transaction couldn't be used to pay for the next.

I have gotten 5 Disney Gift cards and 5 $10 gift cards so far! Thanks!

I only was able to print 4 coupons and now it tells me I can't print anymore :P

Can someone scan the coupon and post it/email it?

I went to two Target stores tonight.

At the first one I went to, I asked the cashier if I could buy a Target GC. The cashier said as long as it would ring, it's fine. I bought $50 Target GC and the coupon worked fine so I got the $10 bonus. I only had one coupon though and he said he would have to take the coupon from me so I couldn't buy more. He also said even if I had more, it stated one coupon per customer so he can't let me buy more. Interestingly, he told me he wouldn't care if I went to another cashier to check out more if I had more coupons with me.

I went back and made more copies. I went to the 2nd Target store. Again I showed the coupon to the cashier and asked if I could buy Target GC. She checked with the manager and was told no problem. I also asked her if I could do multiple check outs, she said no problem as well. So I bought $250 of Target GC and got $50 bonus in 5 trasactions.

I think this is very nice. I buy my groceries at Target anyway, so this is like getting one week grocery for free.

Thanks so much for posting this!!! I printed it & had no trouble using it for DS's wii game I'd been meaning to buy. I was kicking myself for not buying it when amazon had a $10 GC rebate before T-day so this made up for it. :thumbsup2 I love all the gcs w/purchase that Target has been offering this season. They have definitely gotten more of my holiday dollars because of it. And the Target debit is a nice little addition too.

I'm really confused. :confused3

The coupon that I printed says

FREE $10 Target GiftCard
with purchase of
$50 or more

Limit 1 Facebook Friends and Fans
coupon per guest adn transaction

It has an expiration date of 12/3/11

Under that is says

Limit 1 Facebook Friends and Fans coupon per guest
and transaction. Valid in store only. Void if copied
scanned, transferred, purchased, sold or prohibited by
law. GiftCard and tax will not be included in determining
purchase total. Free GiftCard not valid as payment on the
purchase. Terms and conditions apply to GiftCards.
Quantities limited; no rain checks. Maximum retail value
$10 free GiftCard. No cash value.

There is nothing on the coupon that lists any exclusions at all. :confused3

Does Target carry $50 Disney Gift Cards? If we buy the $100 Disney gift card do we need 2 coupons or will the computer automatically issue 2 $10 cards?

Thanks!

DH bought some things today that came out to $40 and I had bought a game today that came out to $15. I realized that I could of used the coupon so we brought our things back and asked the CS is we could have used the coupon. He said yes and re-rang our things and gave us the $10 GC. :goodvibes

Yes I found the $50 Disney gift cards at our 2nd Target in the electronics department. I asked the cashier if I could ring up the second $50 separately and she didn't mind at all. You will need a coupon for each $50.

I had with no issues at all and I was able to get around $300 in Disney gift cards for the cruise and $70 in free Target gift cards!!! My husband loved helping me too :thumbsup2

Thanks again to the OP  and to all of you who mentioned the gift card ideas! I couldn't find the Kindle gift cards anywhere though... :confused3

Thanks! We are headed to Target in a few. If we can't get the 5% discount with our red card then we are going to use our Skymiles debit card to buy as many gift cards as we have coupons for. Hope it works! This would be a huge savings for our trip in 2 weeks.

Good luck!! It *should* go pretty smoothly! I used my Amex card for points and my DH used his Chase SWA for points as well so we did well.

Now, if I could just find a neighbor to print more for me or find a way to print more...ha ha :rotfl:

Will use the Target gift cards to puchase another Disney gift card later. So happy about the savings. Thank you OP!!

You guys all rock! I got $1400 worth of cards for my trip in two weeks for $1120! That should just about cover our meals while we're there, I think. I cleaned my local store out and the check out took about 30 minutes. :rotfl: They mostly had $25 cards so it took a bit longer and I have to lug that many more but it's totally worth it.

Thanks again everyone for the awesome tip! :worship:
