facebook target $10 GC with $50 purchase

To be honest, I didn't try it. But this is what's stated on the coupon. (And I'm a rule follower to the T!) I don't know if it's something you could "get by" the cashier, or whether the computer will filter through those (Itunes GC) transactions and subtract them from the total. Does that make sense? It sounded good in my head!

So it doesn't hurt to try if you want. If you get caught, just play dumb and say "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize gift cards were excluded."

Both the cashier and I read it together and the coupon states you cannot buy Target gift cards with the offer. I bought a $50 Disney gift card and used it and got my $10 Target gift card with no problem.

I plan on using it when I go pick up my mom's prescriptions at the pharmacy. She spends close to $100 on copays so this will be a nice little extra for her. I told her about it yesterday and she was all excited.

My husband picked up a $50 disney gift card today with the coupon and while it worked fine for some reason the target visa only gave us like 2.5% discount instead of 5%? going to carry the reciept back tomorrow since he had already left when he noticed it and see if someone can explain it to us.

nevermind I forget that Target systems remove the amount of the free gift card before calculating the 5% discount.

Hmmm. I promise I'm not questioning you but the one I printed doesn't have the word Target gift card exclusion ~ meaning yours sounds better than mine! The one I printed excludes gift cards, pretty much meaning all of them, not just Target.

Just curious what some other DISers had? I haven't used mine yet but I will tomorrow!

Thanks Op! Used my coupon tonight.

My aunt was able to use two on her 100.00 transaction so if anyone was wondering the system will take 2 if you can get a cashier who doesn't mind trying. Also, her total was over 100 before tax but only 98.00 after her other coupons and it still gave her 2 of the ten dollar giftcards.

I used mine today on xbox live 12 month card..normally $59.99..they had it for 20% off. I added a greeting card to get my before tax total to just over $50 and I was able to get the $10 gift card...and they also gave me my 5% redcard discount!

I went tonight and used it to buy the Itunes gift cards and it worked fine. Thankfully! The cashier actually ASKED me if I WANTED the free $10 gift card ......ummmm, YEAH, thats why I handed you the coupon! She said people had been coming through her line and told her they didnt want the gift card I told her thats why I handed her the coupon...to get the gift card. ohhh so glad everyone got their coupons! i saw lots of comments on facebook about printer problems and thought it may be a bust for most.i spent more than the $50 but it was a good excuse to just pick things up instead of shopping around for the best deal. i gave the cashier a pile of coupons seperate first. i was loading my bags into the cart and then gave her that when she was done with others and she goes, you have another coupon?

It says GiftCards (Cap G cap C) like it does for the Target GiftCard. It says it and taxes will not be included in purchase total for the $50 which I initially took to mean if you use a giftcard to pay. Who knows which it is, lol. It does work on other gift cards though.

That's what is says but a PP said two worked for their Aunt on a $100 order.

eta: I use two coupons at a time at Target that say that and they always work.

Funny you mention printer problems. I had problems and wasn't able to print out coupon on my MacBook Pro. Not a problem, I just used my DH's desk top computer.
