Fabreze Flameless Luminary?

I have a pair of flameless candles I got at Target. I adore them; they look great and add atmosphere. The wax used to make them is scented, so you catch a whiff of fragrance from them, but they don't emit any strong fragrance.

So I'm digging the flameless look, and now Fabreze has a product called a Flameless Luminary. Since it's Fabreze, I'm sure it's highly fragranced. From the photo on the box, it looks like a little lantern with candlelight inside.

I got a coupon for it out of the Sunday paper and will likely buy one. Do you have one? How do you like the fragrance? Does it look like a real candle is inside? Is it as cute out of the box as it is in the picture?

We have two of the flameless luminaries. They put out a great scent but the little shades only last about a week and a half so it can get expensive. They are battery operated and have a light that flickers.

A week and half? Ouch! Usually things like that are meant to last a month.

Do they look nice enough lit to turn on just for the flicker?

I bought one of these, and the smell was so overpowering that my kids (who had begged me to buy this after seeing the commercial) were actually gagging. I had to throw the shade away in the trash, sealed up in two plastic bags to keep the smell inside. The one we got was citrus-something and it smelled almost exactly like Deep Woods Off.

I see from the reviews that the scent fades quickly. Maybe with a different scent (not Deep Woods Off), it might be okay after a few days. I will never buy one again though.

I'll add that it did have a fairly pretty candle flicker effect. If the scent is gone it would be fine to use it just for the flicker.

I have this product. The scents are not to my liking and very strong at first. I let the scent fade out and use the luminary as a pretty accent on a table with the light flickering. I hope Febreeze makes more pleasant scents. The all white shade is the one I like the best.

And, it is IMHO expensive to keep replacing after the scent fades in about 12 days. I wait for coupons.
