F&W, Halloween & Christmas-and all the food in between! Updated 4/6

Friday – November 2nd (Snack)

So according to the clock on my camera, we pretty much went straight from Pecos Bill to Aloha Isle. I love the Pineapple Dole Whip Floats so much! I’m a huge pineapple fan and I also love ice cream. My favorite thing to do is take a spoonful of the soft serve part and dip that down into the pineapple juice so there is some juice in the spoon too, but not too much. Yes, I have devised such a method for eating my treat…don’t judge. :cool2: Brian shared a few bites of this but it was mainly mine! He isn’t nearly as big of a fan as I am. Being the wonderful sister that I am, I also sent a picture to my older sister to taunt her. She loves these too so I thought it only loving to remind her that she couldn’t have it right then!

Up next: Dinner at The Wave!

Friday – November 2nd (Dinner)

Since we were going to MNSSHP (first time!!), we made a very early dinner ADR at The Wave. We had been in MK all day so we just walked over to The Contemporary a few minutes before our reservation. We have stayed at the CR twice (it WAS our favorite deluxe…hint, hint) but we’ve never eaten here. I was excited to try something new and was feeling very nostalgic about our past stays. There were one or two other families waiting when we gave our names to the hostess. The restaurant hadn’t quite opened yet (I think our ADR was for 5:00) but it only took a few minutes for us to be seated.

Empty restaurant – but not for long!

DisneyNov2012474_zpsf774cd96.jpg

As you enter the dining room, there is a booth/chair combo row set up almost right behind the host station. That is where we sat, alone for the moment.

DisneyNov2012476_zps1360ba0b.jpg

Not sure why I took this photo. Maybe to illustrate the size of the table…or the décor…hmmm, not sure. :confused3

DisneyNov2012477_zps41335dfc.jpg

I think I mentioned in my Le Cellier review that I’m a really big cider fan. So I ordered this for my drink:

DisneyNov2012480_zps2deee207.jpg

It was slightly sweet and I enjoyed it a lot. I know you can buy these in the grocery at home. What can I say? I just wanted something I knew I would like.

Brian went the same route. His favorite drink anywhere is a Long Island Iced Tea and that’s exactly what he got. He enjoyed this a lot too.

DisneyNov2012481_zpsb794e99c.jpg

Our server brought us the complimentary bread and butter, which was good.

DisneyNov2012482_zps3d07d2a1.jpg

For his entrée, Brian ordered the “Today’s Grilled Sustainable Fish”. It was grouper on a bed of corn, edamame, asparagus, tomatoes and a very flavorful broth. That’s spinach on top. He loved this!

DisneyNov2012484_zps04ce3df2.jpg

I ordered the "Today's Sauteed Sustainable Fish", which was swordfish. I’m not picky about seafood so although I hadn’t had this before, I wasn’t worried about whether I would like it. I hadn’t ordered it before because of its mercury content. But I figured once on vacation wouldn’t poison me too much. I was very happy with this dish! Underneath was a corn “relish” and on top were sautéed mushrooms. I was a little worried about the three together and whether they would work well or not. I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely wasn’t my favorite meal of the trip, but it was very good overall.

DisneyNov2012485_zps3ec3c8b7.jpg

Now, for dessert, I went with the no sugar added option simply because the three choices sounded good to me. They were (left to right) Fall Spice Cake with Apple-cranberry compote, Vanilla Bean Crème Brulée, and Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse with Raspberry (I don’t like raspberry with chocolate so I asked for it without the raspberry). I expected the spice cake to be my favorite. It might have been except the cake had been either frozen or refrigerated and it was stale - yuck! Not being the biggest chocolate fan, this part was okay but a tad bitter. The Crème Brulee…OMG. I could have had three servings of this and been completely happy! I believe you can ask for double/triple portions of the samplers if you know of one you don't want. This is what I would do if I could time travel. Well, no, that isn't true. If I could time travel...wait, I'm getting off topic. You know what I mean! :lmao:

DisneyNov2012487_zpsaf206f90.jpg

Brian went with the American Flavors - Mississippi mud pie, Chocolate ganache-dipped banana mousse cake, and apple-almond crumb cake with spiced cream. He enjoyed this. None were to-die-for though.

DisneyNov2012486_zps25c02ea3.jpg

We were on the dining plan but I did take a picture of the receipt (not a regular achievement unfortunately :rolleyes2). I can tell you the total for alcohol, entrees, and desserts was $89 before tip. Not terrible, especially by Disney standards. I would return in the future. This was probably our least favorite Table Service of the trip though. There was nothing “wrong”. It just didn’t amaze us. But I wouldn’t shy away from it. It was a solid meal and the service was pretty good too.

Up next: our FAVORITE breakfast…ever!

Just wanted to drop in and say "Hi, I'm reading!" You're doing a great job so far! My family has that same meh feeling about The Wave! I also understand how hard it is to come back to The DIS regularly when there's no trip planned. :(

Looking forward to more!

Love your reviews so far! Le Cellier looks amazing!!

Thanks! Sorry I missed you earlier. Le Cellier is AMAZING! I know it has its haters. I am NOT one of them. Thanks for joining!

Hello! Thanks for commenting :goodvibes I wanted to like The Wave more. I had read a lot of good reviews so I was excited to go. It's not to say we wouldn't try it again. But like you said, it was just...meh :confused3

Jumping on board!!! Great Report so far, waiting for more!!

Welcome and thanks! I FINALLY got all of my pics resized and loaded onto Photobucket. I'm hoping to crank out the rest in the next few weeks!

Saturday – November 3rd (Breakfast)

In anticipation of staying out late the night before at the Halloween party, I had made our breakfast ADR this morning kind of late. We headed out around 8:30 for our 9:00 reservation at Kouzzina on The Boardwalk. This was our first time visiting any of the Epcot resorts so I was excited! The guards were quite thorough in making sure we did have an ADR that morning. I’m not sure what they would have said if we were going to try a walk-up though…? :confused3 After parking in the designated lot, we made our way into the lobby and found someone to give us directions since we had no idea where to go. Let me just say, almost immediately, we were absolutely head-over-heels in LOVE with The Boardwalk Inn! :lovestruc

We walked down the stairs at the backside of the lobby and headed toward the right to find Kouzzina!

DisneyNov2012633_zps9c2eee6d.jpg

DisneyNov2012635_zpse35e167b.jpg

I loved this light fixture!

DisneyNov2012636_zps699f1a63.jpg

Inside the doors, waiting to be seated.

DisneyNov2012637_zps7cc4d64c.jpg

Right away, we ordered a French press of coffee. The title says it serves 2, which would be about right for two normal coffee drinkers, I suppose. They didn’t know who they were dealing with here though! This was the first of two for us!

DisneyNov2012639_zpsf06a80a7.jpg

We had never actually had coffee from a French press before. We don’t go out for breakfast often so we’d just never had the chance. We were converts from sip one. Brian bought me one as a “Christmas” gift almost as soon as we got home. He gave it to me shortly after Thanksgiving saying he just couldn’t wait. ::yes:: I wish we had time to use it during the week. But it does get PLENTY of use every weekend. Anyway, back to Kouzzina…

Brian ordered almost exactly what I had thought he would. The Country French Toast - Grilled Fig and Anise country bread with apple-fig compote your choice of Bacon or Chicken Sausage. He chose bacon. I’m honestly not picky with bacon. I just don’t get what people hate about Disney bacon. I have heard others say Kouzzina’s is different from the dreaded “Disney bacon”. I agree that it was excellent and I could tell a difference. But just know, I’m not a bacon snob to begin with! Brian loved every aspect of his dish!

DisneyNov2012640_zps65f19f18.jpg

I was a little torn with my choice, on the other hand. I really wanted to try the waffle with the Mascarpone spread because I’m obsessed with Mascarpone cheese. But when I told Brian my thoughts he convinced me that I was insane for choosing something sweet because he knows sweet breakfasts aren’t my thing. So I went with my gut (and husband) and ordered the Stacked Kouzzina Breakfast - Two Poached Eggs, Kalamata Olive Toast, Artichoke Spread, and Sweet Potato Hash with choice of Bacon or Chicken Sausage (I chose the chicken sausage, obviously). I, too, loved my breakfast. The hash was amazing! Brian tried a bite and loved it. The artichoke spread was interesting. It had a strong dill flavor. I didn’t care for that with my eggs so I scraped it onto the toast instead. Honestly, the toast was my least favorite part. I still enjoyed it, but not as much as the rest. I know this is probably weird, but I love eggs. They’re probably one of my favorite foods. Hard boiled eggs don’t do much for me. But I could eat poached or scrambled eggs every morning the rest of my life and be 100% happy. The runnier the yolk the better too. I’m sure most of you think that’s disgusting. Most of my family and friends do so I apologize for putting that image in your head…but it’s true. ANYWAY – the poached eggs were perfection when coupled with the hash.

DisneyNov2012641_zpsd30fa36c.jpg

Again, we were both so happy with this breakfast. As soon as we walked out, Brian asked what day we could come back! As we walked to the car I started looking at our plans. Before we had pulled into Epcot’s lot, I had already made another breakfast ADR for later in the trip. :cool1:

Up next: Skinny Girl Seminar with Bethenny Frankel

:drinking1Saturday – November 3rd (F&W Seminar with Bethenny Frankel)

We had decided to drive from The Boardwalk to the Epcot lot because the seminar with Bethenny Frankel was supposed to be in the Welcome Center. Brian said he wasn’t really interested in attending this with me so he headed towards Innovations (I think?) and said he’d call me later. I went to the Welcome Center and made a quick lap around the inside. When I didn’t see any signs for the demonstration, I asked where it was being held. The guy told me it had been moved to the theater in America (America Garden Theater is the name coming to mind but I may be making that up…I can’t remember the name right now!). So I called Brian and told him. The WHOLE reason we had moved the car was because I had thought it was in Future World. :rolleyes2 Whatever, we still had time. For whatever reason, Brian decided to join me after all. So we met up and headed that way.

As we entered the seating area, someone checked our IDs to make sure we were 21 and gave us a wrist band. Then there were people set up around a cooler full of single serve Skinnygirl Margaritas called Skinnymini’s…how cute! We each got one, which was nice too since the seminar was free! The only thing I didn’t like about this was that they opened it before giving it to you. #1) We had just had a big breakfast and #2) I just didn’t want alcohol at 11am! Oh well. I took a few sips of mine. My husband, on the other hand, quickly downed his bottle! :drinking1

DisneyNov2012659_zps15622140.jpg

I had thought the seminar started at 11 but can’t find it in my notes. My picture says Bethenny walked out at 11:32…so I guess it started at 11:30. I don’t remember thinking she was late. Anyway, so right on time (I guess), Ms. Frankel made her way out! She actually had a pretty good crowd too.

DisneyNov2012661_zpsdd8e464d.jpg

DisneyNov2012663_zps5562adf3.jpg

DisneyNov2012666_zps120228b5.jpg

I thought she did a great job. She talked about some different things you could do with different Skinnygirl products. And she even had a few people up to sample her creations. She also took at least 15 minutes or so at the end to answer questions. I personally love her products. I have a bottle of the Coconut Vodka and Pina Colada in my fridge right now actually – both are quite tasty! I want to try her new wine selections but just haven’t bought them yet.

She talked for a solid 30 minutes total, which is what was advertised. At the end, Jason (her husband) and their daughter (Brynn, I think) came out and Brynn ran to her on the stage. It was super cute!

DisneyNov2012667_zpsf7c12780.jpg

I do kind of wonder though, now that they’re getting divorced. Bethenny and Jason’s interaction was nonexistent. I may be reading into it looking back because of the news coming out now. Not that my commentary matters AT ALL! :rotfl: Bethenny did a great job I thought! This was our only seminar because of all the money we were spending elsewhere. In the future, I do want to do another. Maybe a lunch or dessert party?

Up next: I need a vegetable…any vegetable!

Saturday – November 3rd (Lunch)

After the F&W seminar, we went to Animal Kingdom! AK is my least favorite park, but I do enjoy the theming a lot. Around 3:30, we did start getting a little hungry. We had an 8:00 ADR for dinner so we wanted something to hold us over. I was seriously craving vegetables and Brian agreed. Cold, refreshing vegetables. I didn’t know what else to do but get a salad somewhere so that’s just what we did!

We both ordered the chicken Caesar salad at Pizzafari. It fit the criteria and it was decent overall. I expected wilted greens but they really weren’t! The chicken wasn't rubbery either. I didn't eat many of the croutons because there were just too many. Maybe we just lucked out but the salad was okay! ::yes::

DisneyNov2012996_zps303aad7f.jpg

We both also got the cheesecake for dessert. Whatever that gelatinous orange layer is at the top – the recipe needs to be burned. :crazy2: It was disgusting! But after scraping that off, the cheesecake and cookie crumb section were pretty tasty!

DisneyNov2012997_zps480339a8.jpg

Not the most exciting of lunches, I know. But it met our desire for the moment. What can I say?

Up Next: Teppan Edo!

Saturday – November 3rd (Dinner)

This night was completely at the request of my husband. I do like Teppan Edo, but I just think it’s pretty ordinary hibachi style food. It has kind of become a tradition though and it’s one of the only places Brian requests specifically. I guess I can give him one, right?

As always though, the sweet little Japanese girls informed us that they were running behind and there would be a wait. In my experience, there is ALWAYS a wait. Ah well…I expected it. So we sat on the steps and waited.

DisneyNov20121099_zps0b77a0b3.jpg

Since the tables seat 8, we were seated with a dad and his two teenage daughters and a couple who had just gotten engaged. I won’t focus on it, but I can’t stand (most) teenagers. One of the girls was just obnoxious. I’m not sure what her deal was. She just kept giving us weird looks. Honestly, I am usually very oblivious to stuff like that. So the fact that I noticed was irritating. I’m not sure if it was that I took pictures, or that Brian ordered Sake, or…what. I can’t think of much else that would have annoyed her. But then again, she was a teenager. It could have been anything. Okay, done. I won’t mention her again.

Like I said, Brian did order Sake. If you read my earlier entry about his quest to find a Sake that he liked, he found it! I didn’t enjoy this one any more than the others I’ve tried. It was SLIGHTLY sweet. I expected it to taste creamy from its appearance. Don’t be fooled – it did not.

DisneyNov20121100_zps8caa741c.jpg

I do enjoy the little show. Even though it’s not different from others, it’s entertaining. Our guy was from Tallahassee, I think. He didn’t have an accent at all. But he was talented!

DisneyNov20121101_zpsa301607e.jpg

Oh look, there’s snobby princess girl! I didn’t realize she was in any pictures. Okay, seriously, done. I do hope she’s not reading though. However, if you are – please enlighten me on what your sideways looks were about.

DisneyNov20121105_zpse053d890.jpg

DisneyNov20121111_zps7c455be1.jpg

I guess the salad hadn’t fulfilled my desire for vegetables earlier because I ordered the vegetables as my entrée. This was great! I was a little hesitant because I wasn’t sure I would get enough. But that wasn’t a problem at all!

DisneyNov20121120_zps7750bda2.jpg

With noodles, zucchini and onions:

DisneyNov20121121_zpsd3562fa8.jpg

I hate to say it, but I didn’t get a picture of Brian’s. I can’t remember why. He got the shrimp and loved it! He also got ANOTHER Sake! He wasn’t very much good to me the rest of the night. But he sure had fun. :rolleyes2

We paid for this meal out of pocket. We used the credit later at California Grill. Plus, I think Teppan Edo’s desserts are very lacking so I didn’t want to waste it. It was an enjoyable meal overall. I know we’ll be back again.

Up Next: my dessert choice for the evening!

Saturday – November 3rd (Dessert)

Upon leaving, I REALLY wanted the Napoleon from France. We walked straight there and guess what? The guy in front of me ordered the LAST 2 they had! Who in the world needs TWO?!?! I am embarrassed to say that I may have been disproportionately angry about this. :rolleyes1 I didn’t say anything to the guy or the bakery staff because it wasn’t their fault. But I had been so looking forward to it and I wasn’t sure when I could get it again! It still kind of irritates me. How silly. :rolleyes2

Anyway, I sulked out and told my very tipsy husband. He felt really bad and asked what else I might want. He suggested School Bread but that was all the way in Norway and I didn't think we'd make it in time. That would make more MORE mad. I wasn’t sure of a good replacement though. We still had a little time until Illuminations so we walked toward America to find a spot. I remembered the Funnel Cake Kiosk served Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cakes and decided I’d settle for this. I know I sound like a spoiled brat but I had been looking forward to the Napoleon for months.

I got in line and debated during my wait whether to get the pumpkin spice or plain funnel cake. And whether to get ice cream or not. In the end, I did get the Pumpkin Spice but no ice cream. It was very fresh and warm. And although not what I had dreamt about for months (I know I need to get over this), it was VERY tasty. Luckily, Brian liked it too and we shared. I still think we had to throw about half of it away though because it was enormous!

DisneyNov20121123_zpscae0a2a1.jpg

We watched Illuminations while we munched on our funnel cake. I could watch that show every single night and be one happy girl! :cloud9:

Two of my favorite things, the Boardwalk and Bethenny!:thumbsup2 I wanted to see her so bad!

Come to think of it...those are two of my favorite things now too! :lmao: I wish you had the chance to see her though because she did a great job!

Sunday – November 4th (Breakfast)

For breakfast we headed over to our resort Quick Service spot, Old Port Royale. I decided to get the seasonal omelet that had ham and cheese with avocado on the top. The choices for a side were breakfast potatoes or a biscuit. I really didn’t want either and asked if I could substitute bacon or sausage. The lady was not very nice when she told me no. :worried:

DisneyNov20121164_zps35ddc0d7.jpg

The omelet was actually really good! I love avocado but don't eat it on eggs very often. The portion was very large too. I ate a bite or two of the potatoes and they were tasty but a little salty.

Brian also got a ham and cheese omelet but no avocado. He enjoyed his too. And not surprisingly, he decided to get a cheese Danish. This is #2 so far...

DisneyNov20121166_zps2103399d.jpg

DisneyNov20121165_zps3764e684.jpg

We used our refillable mugs for coffee. Blech! I did however come up with a concoction that was tolerable for me. I don’t think I’ve mentioned that we brought single serve coffee creamers with us. Brian is hooked on International Delight’s Caramel Macchiato flavor. I tend to switch between different ones but I brought the Almond Joy flavor for myself. Brian always went with straight coffee with a few sugars and 2 creamers. He didn’t love it but it was decent for him. My recipe was about 1/3 of my mug full of hot chocolate and the rest with coffee. Then one of my creamers. This didn’t hold a candle to the French press at Kouzzina, but it was palatable!

Up Next: Lunch at my favorite Quick Service – Earl of Sandwich!!!

Love your reviews!! You guys are so Cute!!

I am considering booking our next trip during food and wine......I have 2 little kids tho, not sure how much we would be able to indulge in all the yummy snacks!

continuing to enjoy your reviews ... possibly the comments about fellow travelers as much as the food ;)

Glad that Brian found a sake he liked

Oh, just a quick note/opinion about Skinny Girl wines - I totally don't think they are worth it. I think the cocktails are a really good product but the wines just aren't as good as even an average "regular" wine and the calorie difference isn't that much ... I mean, unless you are planning on having a ton of wine, then maybe it makes a difference

Enjoying your reviews, looking forward to more! :thumbsup2

Thanks!:goodvibes

Thank you! I highly recommend F&W! Even if you can't experience everything with the kids, it's not like you have to pay extra to get into Epcot just for F&W. Personally, I would try to go later (around the end of October/early November) to enjoy better weather, hopefully. Our first time it was still quite warm during the day. Trying to eat hot food in the heat was kinda tough. Just not as enjoyable. That being said, if you could only go early on, I would still do it!

Thanks for the tip about the wine! I may not try so hard to seek it out then. I do remember her saying in her presentation that she didn't want to make the wine complicated. So they're simply called "White", "Blush", and "Red"...I think. I wonder if her attempt at mass-appeal is why they're just so-so? :confused3

Sunday November 4th (Lunch)

After spending the morning in DHS, we went over to Earl of Sandwich for lunch! EOS is definitely one of my favorite QS locations. It may not be the best use of a QS credit, but the sandwiches are so yummy!! Ive never been disappointed with my choice. The line is usually long but it does move pretty fast. I just hate how people clamor at the counter waiting on their order and the drink station is a little every-man-for-himself too. But its worth it!

One day I really need to try a salad or wrap for comparisons sake. I did try a new sandwich this time though! I ordered the Caribbean Jerk Chicken - grilled chicken, roasted red and banana peppers with a spicy jerk sauce. It was very good. I adore roasted red peppers so I was pretty sure that I would love this. Highly recommend.

DisneyNov20121226_zpsd2b269ab.jpg

Their bread is just so good. Crusty and warm and it holds up very well to the overall makeup. There also isnt TOO much bread, ya know? I might should also say here that I despise Subway. Ive never been impressed. All of their bread tastes the same. They only give you 2-3 slices of nasty deli meat. Their lettuce is iceberg&blech! And, they charge you $5+ for a sandwich I could make 1000 times better at home. So if youve never been and think EOS is just a slightly better version of Subway, you are highly mistaken, my friend. ::yes::

Brian ordered their BLT - smoked bacon, lettuce, Roma tomatoes and seasoned mayonnaise. I could have sworn that the last time he got this he said it was just okay. But he remembered it differently and said he loved it. So&whichever was the case before, he really liked his choice this time. I stole a bite (of course ) and did think it was very good.

DisneyNov20121227_zpsc8f4faca.jpg

At EOS, if you use a dining credit, you get the sandwich, a drink, and then the choice of a side OR dessert not both. So we got a chocolate chip cookie to share and a bag of chips to share. I didnt get a picture of the chips but theyre kettle style, I think. Brian loved them. I honestly dont remember the cookie but Im sure it was fine.

DisneyNov20121224_zps16efa4e6.jpg

Another very successful meal at the Earl! We stuck around Downtown Disney for a while longer then headed back to DHS to watch Fantasmic! It had been since our Honeymoon in 2008 that we had seen this show. I had forgotten how good it is!

Up Next: Dinner at Kouzzina&did we like it as much as breakfast??

Sunday November 4th (Dinner)

After Fantasmic!, we drove back over to our beloved Boardwalk to try out dinner at Kouzzina. I purposely planned to have breakfast at Kouzzina first because I thought the risk of Brian not liking breakfast was less. I figured that if breakfast was a success, he would be more willing to try dinner. And I had heard almost all good about breakfast; dinner was a different story but I didnt tell Brian that until AFTER we ate dinner. Wanna know what we thought?!

DisneyNov20121284_zpsfcb786b6.jpg

I wont keep you in suspense long. We really enjoyed dinner! Kouzzina isnt our new favorite dinner, but I definitely want to go again on our next trip. I love Greek food. Heck, who am I kidding youve probably deduced by now that Im pretty fond of all food! :lmao: But I love olives, feta cheese, baklava, dill, cinnamon, hummus, etc. I was so excited about this meal. But also nervous because Brian can pretty much take or leave all of the flavors I just mentioned.

We didnt have to wait too long for a table. It was very chilly outside this night so we were just happy to get out of the cold. I do remember my NY Giants had just played an embarrassing game against the Steelers. I had on my Giants shirt and was kind of glad when we were sat in a corner so I could avoid any comments from the opposition! Just a side note Brian and I are very into football (NFL, not college). Hes a huge 49ers fan (for today only, Super Bowl Sunday, I will say GO 49ers!!!). It was kind of cool to see so many people in their team apparel as we were at the parks on this day. We had a nice conversation earlier in the day with a couple from NY who also pull for the Giants. Disney and football&what could be better?!?!

Anyway, back to Kouzzina this is one meal I wish I had taken better notes. (Please excuse my lack of detail in the descriptions below.) For our drinks, our server let us order two things from the non-alcoholic specialty section that The Wave server said werent part of the dining plan. Goes to show you that sometimes stuff like this depends on the restaurant/server. Anyway, Brian had some sort of special pink lemonade that he really liked. I had a coconut water type drink and it was good too. Not sure it went with my dinner, but at least I got to try it! She did let me switch to Diet Coke after my first glass, which was also nice.

As is kind of standard, there was a bread basket brought to the table, along with two different kinds of olive oil. This is also where I wish I had notes. I remember I liked one of the oils better and Brian liked the other. Brian didnt touch the olives but I thought they were great!

DisneyNov20121285_zpsf23c6bf1.jpg

For our entrees, I ordered the Kouzzina Trio - Tasting size portions of Greek-style Lasagna (with Bucatini Pasta, Cinnamon-stewed Meat Sauce, and Béchamel), Char-grilled Lamb Burger, and Cinnamon-stewed Chicken with Orzo.

DisneyNov20121287_zps4b24a945.jpg

Brian ordered just the lasagna. I was afraid he wouldnt like the cinnamon element and tried to warn him. He isnt a huge fan of cinnamon, even in sweets, but he insisted he wanted to try it. Here is a picture of the full portion:

DisneyNov20121286_zps054b543f.jpg

First, we both loved the lasagna! I had figured I would but Brian did too. The only thing I would change about mine was that the béchamel was slightly lukewarm. But the flavors were great. I believe Brian ate every last bite of his.

The lamb burger was quite interesting. The dill sauce was very good. The burger itself was actually spicy, which I wasnt quite expecting, but did enjoy. Brian did not like the bite he tried of this.

The chicken was just okay. It wasnt bad. But it just didnt wow me. Im glad I got to try it but if I had ordered the full version of this, I would have been very disappointed. I could have eaten another lasagna portion and been perfectly happy!

For dessert, Brian went with the Chocolate Budino Cake - Warm Molten Chocolate with Whipped Sweet Cream. I tried to talk him into the Galaktoboureko - Semolina Custard in Baked Phyllo Dough and Vanilla-Praline Gelato or Loukoumades - Freshly Made Greek Doughnuts drizzled with Warm Honey because those appealed to me more . No dice. He wanted the chocolate cake. In the picture, I think that was a raspberry sorbet. This was not my style but he enjoyed it.

I was torn between the two I mentioned above (since my husband wouldnt comply!) and the baklava. Obviously, I chose the baklava. It came with pistachio gelato. Oh man, this was just perfect. I was very happy with my choice!

I want to say I also got a cup of coffee (just a single cup, not pressed), but I dont have a picture so I may be making that up. Anyway, as you can see, we really really enjoyed our dinner. If it hadnt been so cold outside we may have stayed at the Boardwalk until they threw us out. But were not made for cold weather so we didnt stick around too long.
