Just a couple of questions to clarify........

How does the Food & Wine Fest work???
.....I see some pics and prices, etc. but don't know what time festivities begin, etc.

Do you just walk around and purchase samplings and you have to pay extra for any seminars, is this right??

Also, where can I purchase one of those pre-paid cards for purchasing goodies during festival and how much do you suggest loading on it? (2 adults and 1 child).

Thank you!

The Festival Center opens at 9. The World Showcase kiosks open at 11. Neither stays open during Extra Magic Hours. They will close at regular Epcot closing time. On some weekends during the festival, Epcot's closing time is being moved to 10 PM.

Yes. And you must purchase tickets for the seminars.

You can get them at Epcot - at the festival center or in the World Showcase, probably also at Guest Services. They are the same as regular Disney gift cards, they just look different. It's easy to go through $100 a person just on the food and beverage samples. If you're willing to share them and cut down on the alcoholic beverages, you can get out for a lot less.

We go to the F&W a lot. This year we got the DxDDP so we can use our 2 snack credits per night at the food at the booths. Most food samples at the booths can be obtained with a snack credit if you have the DDP. If not, we go the card that you can wear around your wrist. We started with 50$ but had to reload. But, we were also drinking around the "world" and that can really add up. ;)

We loved the wristlet gift card and loaded it with $100 each. Believe it or not, we had to reload it. Now in our defense, this was most of our eating. We only had a few ADRs other places. You will LOVE IT. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Oh, and this was for an entire week. :rolleyes1

Awesome! Sounds perfect!! Thank you for the feedback!:)

I know its tough to have a kid during the food and wine. Many events really are geared towards adults only. Just a word of caution. The later in the day it gets the more "Happy" people will get ;). I have never seen really bad behavior except at the cave, but just a word of caution.
